I am on a quest to try a lot of vegan spots nationwide. This restaurant is in the neighborhood so I had to try it. The cheeseburger and the Brussels sprouts were delicious. I am trying to go vegan/ vegetarian as much as a I can. This restaurant is definitely going on my list of go to vegan restaurants. I only issue with them is that they don’t serve French fries well they didn’t when I was there.
The name Toad Style was taken from one of the five deadly venoms from that karate flick from back in the day Five Deadly Venoms. It is a vegetarian and vegan place that stays away from the soy! Which is amazing if you are not into to-much of the soy meats.
The store it self looks like a Chinese restaurant in my opinion from the outside. On the inside it is kind of tight but full use of the space with contoured laminated booth seats. A few seats on the outside as well.
The service is great. Very welcoming to all and very helpful with the ordering process. Food is prepared and served within a few minutes depending on how many orders are coming in. They do have take out and delivery services picking up and delivering.
So, the food is just so flavorful and tasty! I enjoyed everything! They also had signs saying they are BYOB! So, plan ahead!
I must make Toad Style a regular in my goto eat spots!
This place is a nice little hole in the wall. I appreciate the fact that they seem to make their own burger patties unlike most places that have all transitioned to beyond and impossible (which are also great). The food was good but not great. Worth checking out but I personally won't be making this place a regular in my rotation.
I have no idea what they make this stuff out of and I refuse to ask. I love the mystery.
I love eating meat but this is my new favorite restaurant in the area because the food is consistently above average. After trying everything on the menu through ~15 orders nothing has never left me with heartburn or an upset stomach the same way traditional hamburgers or fast food sometimes do.
Not the most affordable place but it’s worth the price for me because I notice the difference in ingredients compared to other restaurants at lower price points.
Loved the food! Toad Style has an extensive menu of all vegan options. We came here because I was craving a breakfast burrito and they did not disappoint, they even were able to add avocado to it for me. My partner ordered one of the specials called the crunch warp. Our food was made fresh and promptly served to us. They weren’t busy when we went so it was easy to find a seat inside. They also have two tables outside. I can’t wait to come back and try everything else!
I enjoyed their burgers in the past, this time I was highly disappointed; plus it messed up my stomach. I felt aweful after eating it, like it was stuck in my esophagus. I asked for avocado and their was only avocado in my last 2 bites. Probably wont be getting burgers from there again. Plus the energy from the staff felt uncomfortable that day. The soup was amazing though!
Had the sunshine burger and jackfruit nachos when I went. They both were delicious. The honee mustard sauce on the burger was incredible. It's my new favorite place to get a vegan burger. I love that they make their own patties, sauces and more.
I order two waffle sunshine : $37 aka over priced & tasted…horrible. Best part of the sandwich was the arugula. If you get a waffle sandwich it’s $5 more. Worst part of all is my waffle was burnt so the taste was totally altered : my partners waffle was just slightly burnt but tasted better than my waffle. I realized I live closer to SoulKofa Vegan 235 Ralph which has better service, prices & quality ; if you’re looking for an alternative in the area.
The last thing is the lighting is poor & the customer service is absolutely cold …I have never been to a vegan restaurant & not been greeted with smiles as well as good energy. The food & service was a total flop. The vegan burger isn’t even that good I have had better.
