This is a decent and authentic Korean restaurant in Katy. The food quality is fairly high. I tried stone pot spicy squid bibimbap and spicy pork soup for lunch.
The former is superb and very delicious. The squid tastes fresh. Highly recommended.
The second dish is less impressive. The pork is tough to chew and a bit tasteless. The soup also tastes too watery and lacks a rich flavour.
Almost all customers are Koreans. Perhaps for this reason the waitress also assumes that I am a Korean. Funny that when she found out that I don’t speak Korean she immediately held back her smile. This does not seem like a great service.
The restaurant is very clean and neat
Its one of my favorite restaurants. Ive tried almost every menu of here, and they never disappointed me :) the staffs provide excellent service as well, ensuring that every visit is memorable.
Overall, To Soc Chon is a must-visit place for anyone craving a taste of Korean food
Generally, the food is not bad.
The Soo Yook Bossam isn’t the typical Korean one and is a bit expensive.
Blood sasauge is not recommended! It is not tasty!

I always enjoyed coming to this place for their broth dishes. Unfortunately, my last visit left me under the weather. All of us that had the same dish got sick. I haven't returned since. Hopefully it was just a one time thing. The people that work here are very friendly and accommodating. I shall return soon.
We did not know that this place only serves pork based dishes. I don’t eat pork but my friend loves pork so we stayed. We had the neck bone soup Gam Ja Tang with … ofc Pork ???? ????. He really enjoyed the neck bone soup. He said he would return bc the flavor was good but eating the neck meat was very difficult and too much work. So next time no neck bone soup. The side dishes were really limited with just 3 (cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, and pickled radish in soy sauce and vinegar and sugar) and yet the sign says “we do not wrap up leftover side dishes” even tho there aren’t many side dishes ????. Maybe ppl abuse that but the kimchi wasn’t very tasty. But we also stayed bc our waiter David was very nice and gracious saying sorry that the dishes were all pork based and was really accommodating and understanding. Overall it’s a nice place and it’s clean. It’s a very mom and pop place and I always enjoy appreciating small businesses so we want to support them. Plus there is a free parking lot so easy to come here.
I just realized that I have not written a review for my favorite Korean hotpot restaurant, so here it is. If you want to try something authentic and different, you have to try this place out. I found this place a few years ago by chance because I have been looking for good Korean close to work. I only come here during the cold months because this places is known for its hotpots, too hot for the summer months.
Hotpots or casserole are the main theme here, there is no BBQ, no chicken wings, no sushi, just awesome mouth watering hotpots and these folks know how to make them, aside from fresh ingredients, the broth base is very important. I personally don't like over spiced food but the broth here has just the right amount of spice in it but not overwhelming that you can't taste anything else. The flavor combination is just unbelievable, especially the spicy chicken or spicy pork neck bone hotpots. If you want to take a break from the spice you can always order the bulgogi hotpot which is more on the sweet side. There are other hotpot variations with tofu and such. Do try the traditional blood sausage, you can't just get them everywhere.
Together with prompt and friendly services, you can't resist coming here at least once a week. The food just warms you from the inside. This is one of the few places that I will always end up over eating ????.
First time trying Korean sausage and it was great. They have nice broth as well.
The stew was great and the pork is so soft and flavorful ????
