Currently driving for them, but experiencing a roller coaster of emotions due to their inability to be transparent about their planning department issues, especially when it comes to their Laredo operations.
I was hired to "drive," but every time I am routed to Laredo, I know that I am going to experience extensive delays.
I am told that the Dispatch department CANNOT "pre-plan" a load out of Laredo until the driver is physically in the Laredo terminal (extremely inefficient).
Once you arrive in Laredo, drivers are put into a Que for outbound loads, which is usually at least 8 - 12 hours. Currently, I have been sitting for nearly 16 hours with no idea of when I may get a load and no load = no pay for a driver.
Yet, the company is actively "recruiting" more drivers, while its current drivers are sitting idle at the Laredo Terminal.
Look like new trucks nice
I would not work for this company. The drivers here speed weave in and out of traffic and will cut you off with no regards to safety. I can’t count how many times they almost took out my front end
great company...as long as youre a safe driver...
5 months in and I’m still going this is definitely a great job if your looking for a change and more miles and great home time!
The best co. I ever worked for.
Seems like a good company.
One of their drivers was following to closely as my wife was doing the speed limit in the slow lane. The tailgating went on for a while (tail gating seems to be normal in today’s trucking for some odd reason).
He then cut in front of our 18 wheelers hood real close possibly on purpose because we were not going fast enough doing 65 mph in a 65 mph zone in the right lane.
We googled the company. They immediately took safety actions with the driver. There was a immediate sense of urgency for safety from dispatch.
It happens out here. I like to believe that dispatchers actions saved future accidents by deterring that drivers mind set at that time. We all have bad days. We all rush sometimes. It’s when it becomes a driving style bad habit that puts everyone in danger.
I wish more companies took immediate action like this company.
Pretty good company to work for, not going to get rich out here, you can make a decent living tho. I will say that.
