Great for private dinner parties. Food was excellent. Tony is the real deal. He served our party of 42. Everyone had a great time. Owner operated and you can tell there's a lot of love and talent put into every meal.
Incredible, simple, and intimate. This place is a prime brunch destination in Rogers Park. The breakfast taco's are amazing with surprisingly moist corn tortilla's. Give their specials a consideration as well. We had Eggs Benedict with pork shoulder instead of ham and it was incredible. Planning to go back for a lunch/dinner meal to see how their other entrees are.
Delicious, freshly prepared meals served by an amiable owner who is passionate about food. Comfortable setting. Highly recommended -- and open earlier than many neighborhood breakfast spots. Ask about the day's specials. We shared Texas French Toast with fresh strawberries, the special tamales (ckicken with a salsa verde), and chorizo breakfast tacos. Delicious! The day's fresh vegetable-fruit juice was tasty, a gorgeous color, and made me feel like I was doing my body a favor. Don't be turned off by the Howard Street address: TJam is one block off Sheridan with single-family homes. NOTE hours will soon change to Friday- Sunday only.
I would give then 5stars but the sold me chard French toast which ruined the expirence. The food would've been exceptional tried the roasted street corn which was over priced but delicious, bacon omelet and home potatoes were the bomb I will be going back for more food and will recommend if I get a fresh order of French toast have to wait a whole week though it's Sunday they open black up on Friday .
Amazing people. Amazing vegetarian options. And an atmosphere reminiscent of Silicon Valley lifestyle shops. Fresh squeezed juice, handmade vegan tamales and passionate people. Very surprised to find a place this incredible in Roger's Park and not have to pay the Northern California premium.
The food was great, the service friendly and helpful and the ambiance was beautiful. Had the elotes, tamales, breakfast tacos and the special crab cake benedict. All were terrific.
Such a nice dining experience. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Coffee was strong and delicious, with a hint of coconut. The sweet tamale was delicious and a great suggestion. I had the pulled pork Benedict and it was excellent. The hollandaise was definitely homemade and so buttery and rich--better than most others I've had. My boyfriend had a Denver omelet and said it was delicious. They aren't open every day, so just check before you head over. I will definitely go back.
Great American and Mexican food options. We had the tamales, fish tacos, and elotes. Delicious! The owner is really creative and talented with the menu. There's a new special every day. We'll definitely keep coming back for more!
