I would like to thank these wonderful people for recommending Johnny cash towing to get me off the road, and to thank them for getting me back on the road! Excellent service on the cv axle joints, and brakes and rotors! I love businesses like these that are down to earth people! Best mechanics in Plainview! Honest hardworking people that left me appreciating the hard work put into getting me back on the road!
Dan and the team at TJ & D worked on my son's truck. Dan and his team ended up putting a lot of care and time into this truck to make sure it was done correctly. I can't thank them enough for their commitment and time. Excellent service and good people. Would recommend for anyone.
Great service. Did an exceptional job in diagnosing and repairing my auto noise problem. I recommend them, and will be using their services again. Thanks TJ & D!
Took my truck in for an alignment, they said ball joints were bad, which was suspicious because i had just replaced them 1500 miles earlier. So I have them and my tie rods replaced anyways to be safe. I pick the truck up and they didnt install any of the grease zerks on the tie rods or the ball joints. I take it back to them and they get most of the zerks installed. On passenger side lower ball joint they must have stripped the threads because they tack welded that one on. Extremely unsatisfied and will never let them touch my truck again. Going back to doing everything myself.
Really not happy!!! I took my 2013 Kia in. I told them I was going on a trip and asked if they could check everything out and do an oil change and rotate the tires and that the tire indicator was on. I dropped it if Thursday night so they could work on it Friday. I called Friday about 3:00 was told it was on the lift. I called at 4:30 and was told it was done. Picked it up but noticed it was still pulling to the right. Asked my son to check it, had to add antifreeze and wiper fluid and one of the tires only had 20lbs of air and they spilled oil on the engine. Plus the receipt doesn’t say what kind of oil they used. I have used them before on another vehicle but never will again. REALLY disappointed that such a simple request was handled so badly. Not to mention how dangerous it could have been driving on such a low tire.
Price was reasonable, I guess. They told me it would take a few days, month later i was still waiting. Didnt connect a hose and my antifreeze leaked out. They didnt say sorry, they didnt really care. Now, my car is over heating. Not taking my car back there EVER.
On 9/4/14, I had my oil changed. The first time that the lift was lowered, the mechanic back my car out of the shop, but while he back it out a profuse amount of oil was leaking out of the bottom of the car and leaving a trail. He put it back up on the left and found out that the old oil filter gasket was still there and he had put the new oil filter on top of the old gasket. We had to order oil from the local parts store which required about an additional 40 minutes. The mechanic brought my car out to me and told me that he added 3 quarts to replace what had leaked out in the bottom of the car. I told him that by my calculation only about a half a quart had leaked out. He told me don't worry he checked it to make sure it was the right level. I parked my car to the side of the shop to let the oil saddle and I came back an hour later I noticed that it was very high. I got the head shop guy, Dan, to confirm my reading. He agreed with me that it was a little high, but he told me that it really isn't a big deal that it will just blow off...but he will go ahead and fix it. The original mechanic that change my oil put the car back up on the lift and drained off approximately 2 1/4 quarts before it was at the right level, which required two more lifts. Afterward, he apologized tonme very sincerely the fact of his mistake and that my whole day had been ruined. But I was just glad to get it fixed. Right.
Personally, I am grateful that the shop finally fixed it. But, on the other hand, I cannot recommend them as a shop that I would use again.
About a month ago I was driving down to San Antonio from Colorado. I had an issue going on with my radiator and luckily I was on I-27 and just outside of Plainview. I headed to TJ&D Auto Inc. and got to the shop at 4:55 right before closing. I told them my issue and they got me going within an hour of being there. The entire staff was amazingly helpful. I would suggest to anyone that they stop here for any needs possible.
