Let me say: I LOVE the fact that they make the shells fresh on-the-spot (got that extra corn flavor) and it's pressed right in front of you. Plus you can see them grill everything right there. Pretty self-explanatory: You start at the end of the line where the menu is. You let the lady making the shells know what you want, and she'll start the shells for those items, then you confirm with the next guy cutting up the stuff what kind of meat, so he'll cut it up and throw them on the shells once they're grilled correctly. Any more from the grill is the next guy over, but if you're good, you can skip straight to paying where you can get a drink.

One thing to note: When the guy asked "Que carne?" (What meat?) My cousin said something in the most gringo accent there was. Homeboy's face got contorted as he tried to guess what she meant. Yo, give her a break, she's from Chicago, she's about as white as they come, but she tried. ????
Hands down THE BEST CARNE ASADA I’ve had in LA! You must get these, the freshly made tortillas really make all the difference! Still drooling thinking about that smoky meat and soft, fresh, chewy corn tortillas.
Cabeza was really good too, chorizo was ok. But carne asada is a must!
We preferred the soft tortillas (tacos, mulitas) over the crunchy ones (vampiros - they were a bit hard and messy to eat. Horchata was a bit too sweet for my liking.
$9 for mulitas, $2.5 for taco, and $4 for vampiros if I remember correctly.
There were some chairs and tables for sit down. We had to find street parking in the nearby blocks though. Ordering can be confusing if you don’t know what the Mexican dish names mean.
I was in the area and just had to stop by. It had been too long. I ordered 6 tacos and a large drink and paid $20 flat. They take cash and card. Hand-made tortillas (always a good sign) and freshly cooked meat and spicy salsa plus agua frescas. They have a few tables set up to eat your food. If you're looking for good tacos, give them a try. FYI, parking is tricky. Sometimes, you have to drive around to find somewhere to park.
I immediately got sick after eating here. While the carne asada is grilled, it lacks seasoning. Customer service and parking availability is also not that great.
Funding a good taco stand here in LA, it's not an easy task, came here by a referral, and finding parking is not that easy. They make the tortillas by hand on the spot. I tried several of their meats and I only liked their Cabeza and Chorizo. The Asada was ok. Al Pastor was not well seasoned and tasted more like Carnitas. Their fountain drinks taste fresh.

just be prepared for a limited authentic taco etc menu. the tortillas could have been a liiitle fresher but we also went late, just a little before close but overall, didn’t take away from
the flavour and the fire guacamole.
I came here on my second time in LA and quite naïvely I was not expecting to find a taco place like this in the US. These are the typical tacos you can in the streets of Mexico. They are located in a parking lot and immediately you can see a line and smoke from the multiple barbecues. First there’s a lady making large handmade tortillas for mulitas (meat+cheese between 2 corn tortillas). Then you can see where they are grilling the different types of meat and at the back there’s someone else making smaller tortillas for tacos.
I ended up ordering 1 mulita de pastor and I tried a bit of the asada tacos. The meat was good, the asada is nice and smoky. The mulita was definitely a good choice. It’s large and more than enough if you are not very hungry. The handmade tortillas are delicious! I just wished they could add a bit more cheese.
They ask you at the end of your order if you want your tacos/mulitas “con todo” (with everything). In Mexico City that means only cilantro and onions, but here they also add a lot of salsa on your tacos. So be careful if you don’t eat too much spice! It’s better to order the salsa separately (it’s spicy but delicious).
Also note that they only accept cash so be prepared, we ended up paying $41 for 4 mulitas and 4 tacos. They have a couple of large tables in the parking lot where you can sit. Since they were full, we decided to order to go. Finally, don’t get scared by the location. We went around 9 pm and there were many families with children (maybe because it was Halloween). Everyone was super friendly.
Tijuana-style tacos served by - you guessed it - a tire shop. Came here on a Sunday around 5:30pm and there were already people eating there. They had one outdoor table if you wanted to eat there, but most people opted for takeout (us included). The neighborhood is a bit sketchy but since we were there in daylight, it was fine.You first order any vamipiros or mulitas at the beginning before you get to tacos. They make the tortillas fresh and the meat spit is tantalizingly right in front of us. Definitely get the carne asada and the al pastor. We got a large pina agua fresca which was only $1 more than the small. Get the grilled onions, they complement the tacos really well.
Cash only. Street parking. They speak both English and Spanish.
