We totally love this place! We drive in from Riverside and try to make it out here at least once a month if possible. So well worth the trip, highly recommended!
Best authentic Chinese food I've had in socal. In addition to the cheap prices, the portion sizes are absolutely loaded too. Just look at how much fried rice and red braised pork belly we got!!! Really recommend if you're trying to find some good and cheap chinese food.
One of the last true Lunch specials, $10.95, until 6 pm. Many are $14.99 and up now. Noodles are more. Pictures are from lunch special menu. Ask for the daily soup. They give it free, but only on request. Call ahead. They have your order pretty fast depending on how much you order. 4 dishes, they said 20 minutes. But it was done before we got there so maybe 15 minutes! Best place for lobster. Cooked. 4 ways. Cheaper than the Chinese market!!! Very good lobster. Big.
The black beans and clams had a lot of onion and green pepper, and not too many clams. The Gai Lan on the beef and Chinese broccoli needs to be cut up more. The braised tofu was good, but the dish only came with 2 mushrooms, and the picture shows many.
The food is ok , the price is good , give big portions and always busy .lots choice on menu .
The lunch special is only $9.99 for 60+ dishes as of April 2022. This is a very typical Cantonese style Chinese restaurant and it is very similar to Sam Woo. The food is good and the size of the dishes are fair. Give it a try if you are looking for quick and decent Cantonese Chinese foods for cheap.
Quick tips: Don't expect this is the cleanest restaurant. They do not have world class customer services there if you don't speak Cantonese.
The lunch specials are now $10.95 from 11am - 6pm. We ordered a scrambled egg with shrimp, pea sprouts in broth, salt and pepper pork chop, hand shredded brown chicken and steam black cod with black soy beans. All the dishes were tasty and portions were generous. It comes with a big bowl of soup of the day and a big tub of long grain jasmine white rice. We arrived 5-7 minutes after they opened, the restaurant is already half full on Saturday. The restaurant is understaffed, we ask for a glass of ice water, it did not come until there were other tables that ordered similar items where the waitress eventually brought our ice water. The dishes also come in batches as well after we ordered. The 1st dish that came was the salt and pepper pork chops, since there about 5-6 tables ordered a similar item. The second dish that came was the scrambled egg with shrimp. We saw the waiter carrying 4 plates of the same scrambled egg with shrimp and distributing it to the table around us. While we were eating there were lots of customers coming in or calling in for placing to-go orders. The kitchen staff is overwhelmed and the rest of our food is now running behind. We have to wave down the waiter and waitress a few times to check on the remainder of our order. Since they were quite busy many regular customers would just walk up to pay their bill at the cash register and ask for a box and plastic bag. Some customers even know which drawer to open for utensils, plastic bags, spoons, small bowls no, etc.
Pretty good chinese food. The lunch prices before 6pm is cheap and def more worth it. Their lobster is 9 dollars a lb. ,Tofu in stonepot are al good choices for our first time ordering we weren't dissapointed.
Their lunch is an absolute bargain, with that price and plenty of items to select from. Food quality ain't bad at all and portions are generous . Service is not bad either, fast and attentive. ????
