It may subject you to an 18% gratuity charge without prior notification (resembling highway robbery), and if dissatisfied, they might point to an unauthorized small sign near the cashier as evidence of this illegal policy.
Overall, would NOT come back.
Everything about this place is American Chinese food. It is fine for what it is. The selection for a dinner time on a holiday was small. You'll get your greatest hits of American Chinese food, with the most expensive options being the shrimp items or the mussels. I agree though with some reviews that you have a bigger selection if you charge 22 dollars before tip. Crab be nice!
The biggest issue is I think the amount of sodium in the food under the disguise of saucy sweetness. I understand buffets will add sodium to make you drink more, but I had a really hard time sleeping that night and was extremely dehydrate at night and in the morning.
Otherwise, the staff were responsive. I read some reviews about being chase down for tips and though I cannot say I witness, call it a hunch but I believe it. Though they were nice folk for the most part if you treat them kindly. I saw staff being friendly and joking with customers, even people who did not speak English/Chinese.
So yeah, would not come back. Glad I came to try it. Seems like it's a local joint where the working class like the place and I can see why. Just too much sodium.
Food:
Rice 2/10 was cold needed a whole Lotta rice
Noodles: 3/10 was cold but not too bad
Teriyaki chicken:8/10 was really good nice flavor
Service was good didn't take very long for plate to be taken loves that service was a solid 8.5/10
Here's why I gave it a real low score why I get my damn fortune cookie and it says "liked the food? Buy a take out" or sum like that. Your telling me I just payed all that damn money for that on My fortune cookie
Plenty of options. Not authentic but still very good Chinese food. Good value for money. Personally, I would suggest improving lighting. Also, I have been there three times, but found the food was exactly the same. A rotating menu would be better. Waitresses are responsive.
If you are aware of eating healthy when eating out, this place is an excellent place to consider. It provides a good source of protein. It has shrimp, fish, and many chicken dishes such as stir-fried, deep-fried, and chicken wings. It has many vegetables, rice, noodles, and bread for cabs. Water or hot tea is up to you. The servers were friendly. Usually, we went for a heavy lunch followed by a light dinner at home. Not too crowded, and more importantly, the price is right!
In my life, there has been two kinds of restaurants: restaurants that charge more than their food is worth and restaurants that charge just about what their food is worth, the former being much more common. Tin Tin Buffet established a category in it's own right by becoming the first restaurant where I would be happy to pay *more* than they charge. Going in, I was expecting sloppy food with minimal variety given the price--$8 for all you can eat--but from the moment I opened the door I was met with a symphony of smells followed by a shocking amount of food: there were 8 whole rows of food, more than even most fancy restaurants provide! The quality of the food was also much better than expected. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a hearty meal for a reasonable price!
We arrived around 7:15 pm. Some of the food was cold. Around 8:00 pm they started taking up the food. People were still coming in. Their website stated they close at 9:00 pm. No one came by to refill our drinks. Very disappointed ????
Some of the food was cold and some was just not good at all. The wish I can give this place a zero. We kept piling up the dishes and when it was full they would come grab the plates. We had to keep getting their attention for anything. When I paid I was going to leave a CASH tip. I was getting my son ready to leave when the women comes running to me to tell me I didn’t tip her and that if i was gonna tip her.. another lady comes again and asks the same question “so i don’t deserve a tip”
