Even on a rainy day in PacNW this place is warm with the heart. Most times I go to a breakfast or brunch spot, the Benedict is the real test of ingredients, timing, service and experience. I love sitting at the bar so that made it zero wait. I would have waited! Bartender was helpful and friendly. Hosted was personable. Combo of potato cakes and biscuits and cheesy grits - yum! Some of the best avocado. Prices are not cheap but well worth it. Next time is French toast, with whatever they call the combo.
Took the pups for lunch and everything was amazing. Such a great environment and the team working there is genuinely happy to be there and help! Love that they have a little garden in there too. Got some cute merch too! Parking wasn’t too difficult and considering it was 60 degrees and sunny AND a holiday it was smooth! Definitely can’t wait to go back. They also donate to dogs in need too!
Tin Shed is a lovely place for brunch. We had a Sunday reservation and were seated in a lovely spot near the fireplace on the patio. The service was excellent; friendly and attentive. We decided to try the “Coco Rice & Jazz” and the “Farrow Sanders”.
The Coco Rice was unique: an interesting combination of semi-sweet coconut rice and savory toppings. The tofu was amazing. Ask for some of their fruity hot sauce. It’s a great addition to this dish.
The farrow bowl was good, but the pesto was a bit bland. Some hot sauce helped to add depth and flavor to this dish as well.
The self-serve coffee from Marigold (Portland roaster) was fantastic. I was happy to see they have oat milk as an option for the coffee. The house biscuits and jam were incredible as well.
You definitely want a reservation here, and dogs are welcome on the covered patio.
LOVED my breakfast date here. Wonderful service and food, such a casual cute place in Portland.
They have so many options for dietary restrictions. Everything is so fresh and yummy. I hadn’t been in awhile and was so happy it was still up and running!
Great job guys!!
My husband and I got breakfast before our flight home and I kept telling him this was my favorite meal of the trip. I had the good dog with avocado and omg. It was fresh, spicy, crispy, pure perfection. My husband enjoyed the Everything Naughty, especially the potato cakes. I loved the self-serve coffee with the fun mug choices, plus oat-milk, half and half, honey, and sugar. We sat by the fire place and it was so cozy. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. What a great way to end our trip!
Having tried several brunch spots now, I finally see why this is the busiest brunch spot on Alberta. They have incredible food, amazing service, and great ambience - the trifecta.
I especially like their eggs benedict and their burrito. The potato cakes they come with are so good and so are their sauce and jam on every table.
Not a lot to say other than - go here every chance you get.
We searched for a good dog friendly breakfast restaurant and found Tin Shed Garden Cafe. We had to wait 30 minutes to get seated (10:30 am on Tuesday-almost Thanksgiving) but it was worth the wait! Everything we had was so good! Fresh ingredients and yummy! The service was also great. Our waiters were so nice and friendly. They have indoor seatings and outdoor seatings if you are with your dog. There are menus for dogs, too. We really recommend this restaurant for everyone that comes to the area.
It comes to a good breakfast you need the simplest time to stand out. They did just that.
The scrambled eggs were fluffy and delicious.
The greens were scrumptious with the soy sauce base.
The toast was def unique and tasty. We got the “very nice” sampler but fried greens instead of meat.
And what the heck was that hash brown thing that got devoured in an instant?
Obviously the staff were incredible too.
