I recently visited Tikka Craze in Edmond with high hopes for a satisfying Indian food experience, especially since my pregnant girlfriend was craving it. Unfortunately, our visit turned out to be a major letdown. Despite having other well-reputed Indian restaurants as options, I opted for Tikka Craze due to its low prices.
However, the reality fell far short of expectations. We were served a measly portion of two tasteless slices of naan alongside a bad smell three small pieces of watery chicken. To add insult to injury, the rice was undercooked. The lack of taste and portion size made the entire meal a waste of money.
Overall, I cannot recommend Tikka Craze based on this experience. The low prices are not worth sacrificing quality and taste. If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine, I suggest exploring other options in Edmond or Oklahoma City for a more satisfying dining experience.
Good quality paki/Indian food. Chicken was tender and soft, indicating a good butter marinade and gravy stew. Fare tended to be heavier on the grilling flavors indicative of the region, and a bit more spice would have made a difference in quality. Still recommended!
This is a review for Monday 5/20/24 at the Edmond location. I typically eat here at least twice a week as I really like the food, although in the last couple of months their consistency has been lacking (running out of food, to-go packaging that does not keep items separate, and overall quality at times), but I still enjoy it when I get what I ordered. I have been hyping this place up to my family for about a year now, so when everyone was in town I told them I would bring lunch for everyone before their flight left Monday afternoon. The plan was to get there before they open (Google verified 11am opening and printed on the door) and be the first to order then drive it 45 miles home. Long story short, I waited from 1055 until 1134, 34 minutes after the supposed opening hours and they had not turned on the sign or unlocked the door. I did notice someone in the building as the opened the fridge behind the counter, that was about 1115am, but by 1134 I was out of time to wait so I went with a hastily made alternative plan. So everyone was disappointed that they were served chicken strips and french fries from a chain that cared enough to be open on time. Lesson learned and I hate it, but I was looking for a good resturaunt when I found this one, and I will find another!
Nice selection and great friendly service. We were offered samples of all the items before we made our decision. The chicken rice was delicious with a very mild citrus and spice flavor, and paired well with my curry chicken. The soda fountain did not want to function properly while we were visiting, but the food was great!
Very much a “meh” experience. The butter chicken is watered down and not creamy. It’s all dark meat - I mean not one piece of white meat… and So is the meat in the biryani. Kinda gross, actually. Go across the street to Mount Everest…!
Tikka Craze was great, especially the chicken curry. The price was very reasonable and the food was well prepared. The Naan bread here is great, get a lot of it if you can... It was my first time having Pakistani food and it reminded me a lot of Indian / Nepalese, so if you like either, probably a good bet you'll like Pakistani food. Definitely worth trying out and it was a friendly environment, easy to have a conversation.
Pakistani food (not Indian, similar but not the same) Flavorful and fresh! If you want authentic food that won't be bland for the American pallet, this is the place for you! Spicy and delicious curry chicken!
This place was so great the food and the service. But recently they say they're out of things 2 hours before closing and they don't want to make more and when they have different people working the front I've noticed they charge differently every time. There are times where the food is cheap and then expensive it fluctuates depending on who works the front. I guess it's time to look for a new Mediterranean food places.
