Best KPortal Reviews

Visited Windermere Lodge twice in May 2024 on a professional basis and on both occasions, I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome by the staff, on my first visit I met with Kate and she was very welcoming and helpful, on my second visit again I was greeted at the door with a smile, I met with Shannon who was very professional and polite, Shannon and Kate like all the staff I met are an asset to the unit, their manager should be very proud of them and the whole team. Thank you for making my visit such a good experience
Thought i'd share my experience as an employee here once and to clear up the negative reviews that seem to plague here.
Let's walk the grounds --
- Always very tidy and gardens were maintained very well. It was pleasant to take patients around the walled garden and up to the teashop which is very nice there.
Hospitals --
Everyone always did their best for the patients. I never once came across a situation where I felt anybody was being mistreated or any misconduct. This Trust was a no-nonsense place to work, very strict about your attendance, presentation and overall performance.
This is a very good thing, there's too many places being run with poor management and disgruntled managers and staff but not in my experience working here and mine was vast since I was on the Bank (0 hours/as and when/ADHOC) so I would be broad about where I worked. Hospice to the dementia wards to the younger people's unit(s).
Many staff were staying for a long time and many leave to progress. There are many, many opportunities in the NHS that are not being voiced such as the paid training in PMVA, ILS and Moving and Handling. The free training available on the portal for you to sit down and do if you get a chance. They have a great pension scheme that is generous, your hourly rate is competitive but in staffs view, it's always too low. You tend to have ward managers there that have real clinical experience not some manager who manages and doesn't know their place of work.
There are many places that don't offer half as much as the NHS does, so those knocking the NHS and this Trust in particular, don't really know what they have.
The only minor negative I can get to is there was a lot of talking behind your back, since it somehow got back to me, I knew it went on. There were only a select few that would be a negative member in the team and out to cause drama. These could be easily dealt with by simply keeping it polite and just rolling with it.
I enjoyed my role here and I often think about going back. There's many staff I worked with that I shall miss along with fantastic nurses and some great doctors. Well done everyone, the ones i speak of were truly passionate about what they were doing.
Front line staff try their best but like all NHS mental health facilities it's a hell hole of misery, frustration, waiting around, lies, being let down and worse. Once you're in you wont get back, this system makes sane people crazy so abandon all hope anyone with a real issue.
I was on specialised rehabilitation ward after suffering 2 cardiac arrests they were excellent on the ward. I just wished I'd been pushed a bit harder that's personal. All the staff went above and beyond very professional.
Thankyou
I phoned the hospital after a family member received a call regarding a referral but got confused as to who had called and where from. I spoke to Mateus from Reception and he was kind enough to investigate this for me. I got a call back straight away and he provided the correct information for me.
He was patient and listened to my concerns going above and beyond to help me out. Thank you once again.
This place fails people. RDASH as a whole lie. Down play . Think patients are thick .
I had underlying neurological condition broadsworth ward medical staff left me 6 weeks . I'm now left wheelchair bound . Won't walk again. They neglect vulnerable adults and care more about getting take aways and watching Netflix ( night shifts literally is a gaint film/ takeaway night . While struggling patients expected to struggle alone in room as if they reach out for support. Sent. Back to bed
This place kills people. Get anyone loved one transferred or discharged ASAP
Motarily rate for cusworth and broadsworth is higher than should be. BECAUSE A MORTALITY
IT SHOULDNT EXSIST !!!!
Not the most modern, not the biggest, but if it is care you want with staff that are dedicated, that will give you 100% and they will give you the best chance possible of a full recovery then without a second thought it has to be Tickhill road.
They have a really bad organization!!!! After keeping you on the phone with them stupid music for hour, the staff are useless!!! I just wanted a private appointment because on website sad is a private hospital and the staff made so complicated!!! Useless
staff!!!!Seriously in this way, they can loose lots of patients. Until they don’t make a change in the staff that attends us to the phone, I do not recommend not bothering to call!!!!
