these were really good homemade tenderloins. they source their pork from the local butcher and it was high quality no fat no gristle. the grill tenderloin had a good thickness was moist nicely seasoned absolutely delicious. the breaded tenderloin had a thin and crispy crust also a good pork to breading ratio. the onion petals were perfection. a nice thick mild onion with an even crunchy crust. Fries or nicely fried crunchy on the outside potatoey on the inside.
we were really pleased that everything was in paper. no petroleum products like plastic or styrofoam. just nice compostable paper.
Food is pretty decent. Good portions, mostly homestyle cooking. I like the beef and noodles or tenderloins the best so far. Can get crowded fast. Cash only, seating and decor old.
The food here doesn't disappoint; the tenderloin sandwiches are excellent, even by Indiana standards, and the fish is very tasty when it's available (Fridays maybe? I can't remember). The atmosphere has a classic, small-town tavern feel to it. Potential customers should be advised that smoking is allowed here.
I love this bar. It has great food. The prices are reasonable. It is cash only so come prepared. The tenderloins are the BEST! The lunch specials are also worth a try and change daily. Friday's during Lent there is a fish special.
Hidden gem. Decor and clientele probably hasn't changed since the 80's, but the food is very good. Great place for lunch or for a burger!!
Good small town bar. Has good food and friendly staff. Daily specials including huge coney dogs on Tuesdays for $2 each. Smoking is permitted but the F-bomb is not! Dont forget to hit the ATM before going as this a cash only operation.
I went in to try a tenderloin and was not disappointed. Can’t believe I waited as long as I did. Quick service, friendly staff and one hell of a tenderloin!! I will definitely be going back
Great local bar. Small menu for food but everything on it is super tasty. Hot pepper burger was delicious! Fried cheese balls were great!
