This is my second time getting a tattoo here. 1st one was done by Charlie and my 2nd was done by Nick. Both were super friendly, artistic, and professional. Mavis & Lucas at the front desk are super awesome and informative. There’s a good vibe there, like everyone seems to work well together and support one another. Shop was clean and neat, and there’s ton of amazing art and knick-knack decor to keep you occupied while getting tattooed. I’ll most likely be returning!
Best line work I've seen by far. We went as walk ins and had Eric. He was incredible. Super friendly, catered to what we wanted (yes me and my bestie were annoying and picky and he was super patient and let us pick out our font on dafont) and came thru with the cleanest line work I've seen in person. . . and I'm a certified ink master pro so I know what I'm talking about. (I'm literally so annoying bahahha) He even freehanded a smiley face on my bf's neck. Thanks again Eric, we'll definitely be back.
seriously- Amazing work! Although they are new, they have proven to be a top tier location in terms of artists, staff and cleanliness. This is also a plus since you’re not going to be booked out like many other shops and artists around here.
I’ve gotten 4 tattoos done here since they
opened a little over two weeks ago. All staff and artists are super kind, hype you up and attentive. Jack, the owner, is amazing and has an excellent eye for detail. They are a little more pricey than other locations HOWEVER you certainly get what you pay for! Custom drawn or a flash, attention to detail and requests, and of course the environment you’re surrounded with. Well worth the cost as this is art you’re wearing on your body for the rest of your life.
Did i mention they also have guest artists who visit from other states and shops? This is the only time you would have to wait a longer time to be with an artist, but you get the opportunity to have work from other amazing artists from across the country. I’ve already set up a time with one and I’m stoked!
I seriously can’t say enough good things about this shop and am so excited to continue to go here.

I walked in later on a Saturday to see if I could get some flash. I was able to get in and out quickly with a cute new tattoo. The whole experience was really pleasant, and everyone was so nice! From the moment I walked in the door, Lucas was friendly and helpful. Eric did my tattoo. He was super nice and did a great job. I highly recommend Three Kings if you’re looking for a tattoo in the Durham area!
I came into Three Kings with a vague and silly tattoo idea. I was able to speak with Eric within minutes of walking in and set up an appointment for two days later. All of the folks working here are professional and frankly just sweetie pies. Eric is a remarkable artist and came up with an amazing tattoo for me. He made sure I loved the design and was very patient and engaging through the entire process. I highly recommend Eric to anyone wanting a sick new tat, in a variety of styles, he’ll slap a piece of art on ya with a big smile and calm demeanor. I want to visit him for all of my fun custom ideas!
I had a wonderful time at Three Kings! Eric Ayala did a wonderful job with the ideas I had for a simple tattoo on my forearm. The atmosphere was relaxing and chill to be in. Charlie at the front desk is wonderful and inviting as well. This visit will certainly not be the last! ☺????????
Eric Ayala is the absolute best to work with. He is super laid back and friendly on top of being an excellent artist. The entire shop is very welcoming and make you feel like you’re a regular, even if it was your first tattoo. If you’re looking for a shop in the triangle, this is the place to go.
I have been tattooed by the incredible Mr Jack Cody and I must say in all the years of being tattooed Jack is one of the best! I didn’t receive the tattoo in this new shop but I can’t wait to make my way out to get another! Jack takes the extra steps to get to know you and help you pick out one of his incredible original drawings and make you feel more then at home. He has the personality and comforting demeanor that makes you feel at ease for your first or last tattoo experience. His color theory is next level and will make sure your new art looks fantastic. Jack is a class act and a great artist (ask about purchasing prints!) Three kings is an amazing group of shops and this is the latest and my personal favorite! ✌️✌️
