Our local pub. Spotlessly clean.
Landlord and landlady both brilliant, make you feel at home, and a damn good pint served.
The hub of the village. Weekly beer and meat raffle. Live bands
Walked in and as we are not local, people seemed to be not very friendly. A dog came over towards me and so I stroked it. A lady snapped the dog away from me in disgust!
Sign on the door saying food available until 10pm. It was 8.30. Asked for a menu and was told "NO food" by the barman.
We walked out in amazement.
A very warm and friendly atmosphere in the Thorn Tree Inn. The landlord and landlady are very welcoming and work hard to maintain a pleasant, comfortable and happy atmosphere. .
Went in tonight with my dog - we are new to the area. Very friendly pub for both me and Monty, with a great pint of Jaipur as well. Top pub!
We ate here 3 times while visiting friends over the bank holiday, 1st time we popped in en route for just a quick fill up not expecting much, the steak was immense, and a perfect medium rare. The kids had burgers and puddings that looked so good the wife and I came back on the Saturday to try them, the adult version is even better! our burgers came on butchers blocks laden with cheese, salad, and sides of dips it looked amazing, we opted for "twice cooked" chips they too were lovely, and then creme brulee for pudding in a tea cup!. 3rd visit we gathered our hosts and had the best Sunday lunch Ive had in years the kids loved it all even the veg!. the wife raved about the goats cheese tarts all the way back. Excellent value for money each visit, We will definitely be back.
Excellent ever changing real ales in this hidden away village local with a superb chef and small restaurant. All freshly prepared produce, dry cured steaks, a surprising and special treat.
Great little local pub, nice and cosy you can't help but join in with the locals. Would suggest a visit if your in the area. Trailus.co recommends this to all friends and families. They also have a function room. Help support this little local pub. We are losing our community by not supporting our local business. So call in for a pint.
Delightful pub. Lots of quiet areas to sit and chat. Beautifully furnished, really friendly staff.
