The ambiance was great, the music was great, the outside seating id great to bring your dogs, but there were some issues with the service. My waitress seemed very preoccupied with everything else but her job. She was too busy socializing and being on her phone. I had another employee who was kind enough to check up on me. Make sure you get the parking validation prior to paying.
Regarding the food:
The chicken wings were great! The Bleu cheese was different, but in a good way, I can compare it to a seasoned Bleu cheese, but it's worth trying out.
The meatballs: The marinara sauce was great, and so was bread. The meatballs gave me dog food vibes. They need work.
The Douglas old fashioned was just ok. They need figure out how to better present that, it seemed very thrown together. (Made by the preoccupied waitress).
I did try a specialty drink they had on the chalkboard ("she's so sweet") still had the bourbon I was looking for but this time better presentation. (Made by someone else).
Over all, if you go with a group or even by yourself, you'll have an enjoyable time. Just hope you get a serve who's attentive.
Thorn exceeded my expectations! The drinks, including the fantastic mocktails, were exceptional, crafted with precision and creativity. Each sip was a delight! ???? The food was divine; every dish was expertly prepared. Our waiter, Alan, provided impeccable service. He was welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Thorn is a standout local cocktail bar lounge in the Bird Road Arts District. The food is delicious, and the drinks are exceptional, crafted by skilled mixologists—a rarity in the area. The venue boasts a light, open, and airy atmosphere with various seating options surrounding the centerpiece bar, adorned with tasteful eclectic furniture. The option of homemade Cry Baby Creamery for dessert adds an extra layer of charm to the experience. Overall, Thorn offers a delightful combination of great food, outstanding drinks, and inviting ambiance, making it a must-visit spot for cocktail enthusiasts.
I live nearby and finally had the chance to visit. Had fun coming here for lunch. Loved the vibe of the music. Had the hummus plate and Caesar salad and the Reset Button mock tail. My Dad had the lemon pepper chicken wings and claims they’re the best he’s ever had! So glad to see this place doing well, and I’m very excited for the future of the Ludlam Trail development. This place will be a stellar stop! I’ll be back to actually try the drinks soon! ✨
I absolutely loved the atmosphere and music of this place. It’s ideal for a date night with your special one. The drinks were very original and felt very refreshing and balanced. The food was also delicious, with the wagyu meatballs being the highlight for me. But what took the crown was the bread pudding. The combination of flavors really made for a special experience and I highly recommend it. Lastly, the service was great! Both our servers were attentive and chill, and gave us great recommendations both on food and drinks. Overall, this place left a really good impression and I will definitely be coming back again.

Honestly the vibes were fine but the absolute worst part of this place was how long it takes to make a drink. Like it does not take 40 minutes to make one cocktail, even if there are “30 tickets ahead”, efficiency is important and this place is just not that. The drink tasted good but for 40 minutes it is not worth it. Adriana was great though and she was very patient as well as efficient regardless of no management present.
We hosted an event with Thorn. Erika and the whole team was so helpful and easy to work with and they went above and beyond to ensure our event went great. Will definitely be back for happy hour. Drinks and food were good!!!! And love the spot. Parking is a little hard at peak times, but where isn’t in Miami. still love the location.
