Unfortunately, I didn’t have the pleasure of having an excellent experience like others mine was terrible. I brought my 2014 Dodge charger in for overheating my primary concern, and I also wanted an oil change. Tony is the guy who worked on my car said I needed a new radiator and a fan Which he replaced. My bill was $899.46 ????
I brought him my car on Tuesday he told me it should be ready by Friday. I was going to Miami that weekend but when I went to pick up my car he informed me that the part wasn’t in. OK, no big deal so he kept the car. I still made the trip I came back and the car still wasn’t ready until that following Wednesday so in total he had my car a week. I drove my car off his lot and by the time I made it home my car started smoking from under the hood, my muffler, the backseat smoke coming from everywhere I pulled off the road and immediately called 911. I thought my car was on fire. The fire rescue came pop the hood and seen Motor oil everywhere. I immediately called Tony he came where I was which I was very grateful for. He told me to bring the car back the following morning. Once he had my car he said the problem was my valve cover gasket my first time ever hearing that. After A few messages back-and-forth and him telling me no other repair shop would’ve came to my rescue. Like he did me a favor when I just left your shop five minutes ago and now my car smoking uncontrollably. Anyway he insured me the car wasn’t smoking and it was fine to pick up a second time. Two weeks later my car began to overheat again the same problem he supposedly fixed. I called him and said my car is overheating again. I asked did he put my car on a diagnostic machine he said no my car wasn’t diagnostic which took me by surprise. Why would you not put my car on the diagnostic machine, but only go by what I’m telling you. And my receipt saying something different. Again after several text messages back-and-forth, he told me dealing with the cooling system there could be many problems. So I asked the things you fixed on the car wasn’t the problem? he said yes it was the problem. But how the car is still overheating something is wrong. Long story short, I was so disappointed, not satisfied and stranded on the side of the road and all he could tell me is bring the car in next week because he’s working on other cars at the moment while I’m on the side of the road waiting for my car to cool down. I don’t know if I was treated this way because I’m a woman and he could get over on me, but I would never recommend anyone to Thompson auto clinic. I took my car to Another repair shop and spend an additional $619.14 for a water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt and coolant. They told me Tony should’ve seen the problem when they remove the radiator or by putting it on a diagnostic machine. I would never go back there again. The only good thing I can say is Tony was honest about me not needing a tune up.
Our VW CC was leaking oil. Called and they were able to diagnose the issue right away. They also worked with our extended warranty policy and got our car fixed. Definitely will be back when needed and glad we do not have to go to the dealership

So grateful to have Thompson's in my city...
Let me start by saying that I was super skeptical to take my E60 anywhere, just terrified, given that it is a European car and dealerships can be dicey for routine maintenance and checkups, regular shops - even more so. So I had been going to my long-time mechanic who does smaller routine jobs out of his garage. The time came when I really needed a bigger procedure performed. An acquaintance had recommended Thompson's - not only do these guys have reasonable rates, they're extremely knowledgeable, high-end European cars happen to be one of their specialties, and they even stayed past closing time so I could come and pick up my car. Tony is a straight shooter, making us feel super welcome and at ease, like a good doctor reassuring you that everything will be fine and then delivering on the promise. I couldn't recommend Tony and his team more! I was hesitant as well but that flew out the window after my first visit. Time to take wifey's F30 in for a routine check up.
They were the last to install a battery in my BMW. I recently had to replace the battery cause they did not reprogram my car after installing new battery, which led to my battery failing prematurely due to undercharging. (Bmw dealer said this was the issue.)
I also was ripped off. I paid $800 for new battery and services at Thomas auto.
I had a new battery replaced due to Thomas autos mistake, and it was only $450....
Also they did my oil change, another service light came on days later. Brought the car back, and they said it was for the power steering system that needs to be serviced.
I told them to service the power steering , and they did another oil change.
If you can't get the little stuff right, I would never trust them with the big stuff.
Plus the shop is a mess. I was a technician for 14 years.
Their shop is trash and is usually a good representation of the the business and business owner(s).
I would go to E&K Auto in Winter Haven FL over Thomas auto any day!
Plus the rates are about half and experience tech that's got twice the years of experience as Thomas does .
Thomas is garbage.
Thank you for helping me with my car. You guys were fast and so very helpful. You will be my go to shop. I will highly recommend you to all my family and friends. ❤️❤️
These are THE guys to take your car to. They did a PPI and a major service on my 2014 Carrera S and did a fantastic job. The only people I'll trust with my 911 as long as I own it. Give em a call and get your car taken care of by their loving and skillful hands. Best shop in Lakeland bar none.
The dudes at Thompsons are the best. They stayed after hours to make sure my car was finished that day. Not to mention their fantastic prices, their quote for parts install was $300 less than Micos in Tampa. I would use these guys again without hesitation. 100% recommend them
