This place is awesome! Walked in and we were the only people there at first. Dave was great to talk to and filled us in on the surrounding area. Then the place started to fill up with all different kinds of people. Retired, working class, bikers, and vacationers sat at the bar and all shared a drink and had a great time! Thanks for a great night out Dave! Definitely going back before we leave.
Not much to look at on the outside, but looks can be deceiving. Stopped in over the weekend. Was told its the Cheers of the area and they ain't wrong. Met a bunch of wonderful people and the bar owner is a pretty good dude too. Shuffle board and two pool tables.
Cool up north bar. Great people and great drinks. Must stop ifnkn the area.
We recently purchased a place a few miles from Thirstys and today finally got in to meet the owner Dave and have a drink. Just like all the other reviews said, what a nice guy. A fun spot for locals, pool leagues and friends.No prepared food but lots of snacks to choose from.
I'm retracting a negative review due to a thoughtful response from the owner (actually I'm not sure if it's the owner or manager or? But someone definitely who took pride in the business.). A gentleman named David went above and beyond to make things right. That right there is deserving a five stars! Thanks for taking the time David and see you next summer! ????????????
Nice variety of snacks. Friendly bar with lots of locals to get to know. Awesome owner!
Best up North Bar in Northern Michigan. 2 pool tables and shuffleboard. Draft beer, large liquor selection and of course…..Friendly faces. Dave the owner is the best!
An excellent salt of the earth bar. This place is what pubs are to England. The beer selection is good. Prices are also good. Atmosphere is great. Worth a stop for sure.
