St.John was incredibly helpful and sincere. Our situation was quite complicated and we were struggling to complete the applications and supporting evidence correctly, especially with the lack of information on the government website. Some other immigration law firms we spoke to were almost scaremongering or we got stuck on automated phone agents. Speaking to St.john was great, he took to time to discuss the situation with me, without asking a fee for an initial chat. He explained the options open to us and once we decided to move forward with him he was incredibly efficient and communicative. I HIGHLY recommend The Yellow Halo for help with immigration matters. St. John worked with me in my application for a skilled worker visa based on sponsorship from a UK employer.
Under normal circumstances, this would be a fairly straightforward (albeit confusing) process. However, my application was complicated by the fact that my existing status as a UK resident was in question because my previous employer (and I) had not correctly handled things with the Home Office when I resigned. St. John used his considerable experience, judgment, and understanding of the Home Office to write the application in a way that explained the reasons for my incorrect status and maximised the chances that the visa would be granted. The Home Office would have been within their rights to deny my application or even send me out of the country (though I think this would have been harsh). I'm relieved that they did in fact approve my visa.
It's impossible to know how things would have proceeded if I had gone it alone or with another advisor, but I think that St. John's work did make a difference. He never hid the uncertainty and possible negative outcomes from me, but his guidance throughout helped me feel confident that I was putting my best foot forward in the application. I'm deeply grateful for his support.

I used St. John's services to apply for Further Leave to Remain. He made an immediate good impression by going through all possibilities before I hired him, and telling me what would be the best path for my application. The only thing that I would have done differently, had I known Home Office would be taking 8 months in approving my visa, is apply for a fast track application. St. John also encouraged me to wait longer to book the biometrics appointment and in hind sight, it would have probable been best to go sooner. But overall, he gave a great service and I would definitely hire him again for future applications.
