Wishbone is my go to whenever I am craving Fried Chicken. They fried chicken is so crispy and the meat inside is yet so juicy. They won’t tell me their secret, but whatever it is…it’s working! This is a popular spot for the locals…young and old. Great pricing, prompt service, and delicious consistent food! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and just has a great ambiance overall.
First time here. We didn't wait to be seated, but waited almost 30 minutes for our food. Place is family owned and operated since 1963. It is a large building and inside is just as big! It reminds me of the, "diners," from back East. My husband's salad was the left- over lettuce that you usually throw away and the dressing came in a small plastic container. He ordered the chicken fried steak and it came with a yellow sauce, instead of a creamy white sauce. He didn't like the yellow sauce, but said the chicken was good. We also received 2 slices of Texas toast that had a funny taste (margarine or maybe old oil) and greasy. I ordered their fried chicken, what they are known for. I can see why they have a large dedicated take-out area and huge following. The chicken was moist and tender inside, with a delicious crispy coating that wasn't greasy! So I highly recommend their fried chicken.
Got seated within 5 mins. The servers were kind and friendly. The food was amazing, hot and fresh, and still very juicy chicken. Chicken gizzards and livers were crispy and good. Great place and meet the owner who was very friendly and kind. Will be coming back.
This isn’t your typical family restaurant because it’s really a family run Fried Chicken restaurant largely. You come here for the fried chicken and will be convinced of that decision the moment you enter. The fried chickens were crispy without a layer of fat sitting between the meat and skin. The gravy provided was the icing on the cake. BTW the coleslaw was very good. Our server Margaret was courteous and attentive at all times. This meal would count as one of the highlights of our trip.
We were looking for a non-chain, home- cooked meal. WE FOUND IT! We started with livers & gizzards and proceeded to the chicken and shrimp meal. The finally was the homemade coconut pineapple ice cream. Everything was delicious. We only got a picture of the appetizers- too busy enjoying the rest to remember to take pictures! The owner and waitress were friendly and suggested just what we were craving! This is a must try restaurant!
First time dining there. I couldn't believe the size of the servings. We got an appetizer, it was like eating an entree. By the time the food came, We were so full, took a few bites and had to take the rest home. The entree itself was huge. Both my wife and I couldn't eat the whole thing. Definitely a place a could could share. The chicken was really good. The service was good as well, but some of the ladies were spread really thin. For a good chicken craving we'd definitely come back.
Best chicken I’ve had in Colorado! Some of the best fries I’ve ever had! Great prices! Friendly staff. A hidden gem ???? for fried chicken lovers. And who doesn’t love fried chicken ?????
I've been eating at this restaurant since I was in a high chair, and I'm 30 now. Food is always top-notch, and I can confidently say it has the best fried chicken in the state. Apps are fantastic too. The staff and servers are always smiling and respectful.
