Best KPortal Reviews

What a wonderful place to stay, cute and cosy. Cannot fault the staff, they went above and beyond for myself and my wife to ensure we had a great stay. When we arrived, we were running late to a wedding and Christoph the landlord even offered to drop us there which was so kind of him. Breakfast was lovely, I would definitely return again.
It was a special birthday so 4 of us went for dinner. The staff were all very friendly and helpful . The restaurant was clean and pretty. We pre ordered the tomahawk steaks so that the restaurant were able to pre smoke them, and what a great choice that was . It was the best steak I have eaten flavoursome tender and plenty of it. Add to that there is Parking on site and all very reasonably priced we have found a real gem and will definitely be going back x
This is my third lunch over three weeks, I’ve also eaten dinner here twice the food is excellent. The staff very polite and accommodating. I can’t wait to eat here again. The owner is so keen to please and even re-opened the kitchen so my family could eat late one evening post house move…
We went in for Sunday lunch to try it out. The food is out of this world - the potatoes were crisp, the smoked tomahawk was stunning and the gravy was to die for. We will return again without doubt.
2 of us came here on a Friday night for a drink and a snack.
The interior is SO nice. Im kicking myself for not taken any photos! Rustic farmhouse conversion style space with wooden beams, flowers on each table and a display for wine.
We shared a plaice and chips - so delicious, really crispy and not greasy at all. I would definitely come again to try try other dishes on the menu.
The staff were all lovely and the place had a really relaxed vibe to it. All that was missing was a comfy armchair to enjoy a pint in :)
Highly recommended!
I stayed here for a night whilst attending a training event. The new owner and his family provide impeccable service. The hospitality is excellent. The food divine. Don’t be put off by the smoked options on the menu, the smoking is so delicately and expertly done and those balsamic bubbles…what a treat!
Poor attention to detail. Small rooms but high prices. £100 for a small room with cramped bathroom . Dirty and mouldy shower, cobwebs everywhere . Not much attention to the rooms
No food served on my stay due to a ' technical issue'. Found a decent pub for food up the road. When I came back, people were eating in the restaurant. Bizarre.
Expect better from Greene King !!!
A beautiful pub with great character and atmosphere. The menu features many of the pub classics with some twists to really elevate the dishes. The quality of the food is outstanding. I highly recommend and I’ll definitely be returning very soon.
