Best KPortal Reviews
I will have to visit again and try some food. This visit was following a funeral, ie wake, so not really the best of circumstances to judge the pub, but the place was welcoming and had a lovely fire burning, which was most welcome, having just gotten soaked by the grave side in our wonderful spring weather. Average choice of beers and ciders. Disappointed they couldn't fulfill a specialist coffee, even though they had a machine behind the bar. Parking is an issue though, with no car park and very limited spaces on the narrow road
Gary makes us so welcome lovely pub friendly great atmosphere.lovely selection of food.
Traditional village pub. Does not sell food.
Popped along for evening meal on a Friday evening only to find no food, no chef, no luck. The skittle alley, fish tank and dog-friendly policy make it a welcoming watering hole for locals to bask in the evening sun to compare the day's golfing handicaps.
Love this pub, it's charming and chilled out nothing more you can ask for in a local pub.
The food is really good. And I have had a family event in here with their buffet food, that was amazing. Great friendly staff.
Called in for a quick beer , beer top notch and friendly lady behind bar plus friendly locals.
Would have given five stars but sadly no food at the moment as management are looking for a chef.
In a nutshell great pub lovely location.
Friendly service, excellent food (though I would have liked some crackling with my roast pork! But otherwise the roast was delicious) and a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend. It would be nice to see some extra high chairs about though if we are to come again.
It generally has a warm and friendly country atmosphere.
This time of year most years I get together 12 - 20 friends and book the skittle alley for the evening. As there's no fee for the skittle alley it's only fair we all buy drinks. After all the pub is a business and important to village life.
I've always found the staff here friendly and courteous.
That was until last night ! A man (presumably the owner) spoke to me in a VERY offhand manner. While I understood his point the manner in which he expressed it does not make for good customer relations !!! If he is reading this I suggest next time he gets his bar staff to relay the message as they are far more personable. Hence only ⭐⭐⭐
