The hotel is in a great location for exploring the village of Corbridge, it has free and easy parking with good check in and out times. |The room was clean and comfortable, you are over a pub so expect noise and take some ear plugs. |They do provide a complimentary continental breakfast between 8.30-9.30am I would save yourself and enjoy the lie in, as it was tea, toast and cereal at best. |There are however plenty of lovely places in the village to have food. |The room (5) had a nice size bed and was a good size room, with all the amenities you would expect, however the shower was tiny and it was warm at best, despite turning it up and letting it run for ages! |We would go back and stay again based on its location.
We stayed 1st to 3rd march room clean and tidy I must say their new chef who tells me has only been there a month his food was cooked and presentation and taste was done to perfection his standard is really good we could not fault it well done he is a asset to place. If I had to pick fault we found the restaurant staff seemed to have little interest in their customers if you wanted anything you had to go and find someone only to find them peering in to their phone in the bar don’t let your chef down on the whole a good stay

We arrived after the check in time and were given keys for rooms that had people already in. The keys for the correct rooms were not available till after 5. The young staff did not know what customer service is. One of the rooms had no towels. The rooms were clean but the glasses etc could have done with a wash. The pints were not the best and the pop was flat. |When we went down for breakfast we could not see where the continental buffet was, we were directed to the end of the bar. The buffet was 3 trays with slices of bread ham and square cheese slices, no butter or jam etc and cups that needed cleaning. We had to ask for butter etc and some clean cups. There were chips from the day before under tables and the floor generally need a good clean.|We did feed back to the manager on check out.
On arrival the young staff lacking in customer service skills, gave us the keys for 2 rooms that had guests already staying in them. We were then told the manager had the keys for the rooms we were staying in and he wouldn’t be back till around 5 but the room doors will be open and we can put our bags in. The young girl did then find 1 set of keys. |The pop and Stella was flat and the glasses not very clean. |The room was clean but the glasses/cups did need a clean and there was a bath with a shower head but nothing to put the shower head in. |We had no towels in our room. |The continental breakfast buffet was very poor. There were 3 trays with slices of bread, ham and square cheese, with no butter if ham and the glasses and cups were dirty. |The breakfast area had not been cleaned from the night before as there was food all over the floor. |We have fed back to the front of house staff on departure. |A one night stay is £140 and definitely not worth it.
Reasonably priced hotel in a central position in Corbridge. Free parking, friendly staff. Bedroom was warm, spotlessly clean, and freshly decorated. The bathroom was immaculate. The hospitality tray in the bedroom was very well stocked. Continental breakfast was included and served in a warm, clean restaurant area. Ideal place for a short stay. Highly recommend
The pub is now under new management, who went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely stay. The room was lovely, warm and clean. Continental breakfast was lovely with fresh croissants and coffee. We would definitely stay again.
Some initial trepidation due to the website with previous owners details listed. However, this quickly disappeared with a very warm welcome from the staff. The new owners appear to be investing in the business with new carpets and fresh paintwork. Our room was very nice with a lovely comfortable bed. I wouldn’t hesitate in staying again, our two night stay couldn’t have been better.
Below average Sunday dinner. Staff were nice, friendly. Dinner was not great... v. undercooked veg, watery gravy, skinless chicken, but the roast pots and mash were good! The place was dead and had zero atmosphere which is a shame because, given its central location, plus carparking, it should be bustling.
