Best KPortal Reviews
Absolutely fantastic experience at The Wheatmill Bakery! From the moment we walked in, the aroma of freshly baked goods enveloped us, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
The selection of cakes, sandwiches and pastries was extensive, and each item looked more tempting than the last. On this occasion we only ordered the large birthday cake which exceeded our expectations. The cake we ordered was not only beautifully decorated but also incredibly moist and flavourful.
Each bite was a symphony of taste and texture which was flaky, buttery, and filled with just the right amount of sweetness but what truly set our visit apart, however, was the impeccable service provided by Carly. Her warmth and enthusiasm was second to none, making us feel right at home. She patiently answered all our questions and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience.
Overall, I cannot recommend The Wheatmill Bakery highly enough. Whether you're craving a decadent cake for a special occasion or simply looking to indulge in some artisanal pastries/sandwiches, this bakery has it all. And a special thanks to Carly and the entire team for the outstanding hospitality – we'll be back!
Sadly, this bakery has gone downhill over the past few years. It used to be excellent, but since the last takeover, particularly, the levels of service have gone downhill. No longer slice bread and run out of items way before you would expect.
People used to be queuing outside, but that rarely happens now. I am using it less and less as it would seem are other people. Such a shame to see it. The only good thing I can say is that what they do have is still decent quality.
Lovely staff and a good choice of Bread and cakes. Also hot and cold sandwiches are beautiful
A good local bakery with a wide range of puddings and deserts. Unless you're on a diet all creamy puddings are suggested ????
I attended some weeks back and asked for extra tomato on a sandwich, even joking that I wanted a tomato sandwich with a side order of chicken.
I paid 40p extra and when it was handed to me I was told it was loaded with the guy at the back nodding so I was somewhat 'disappointed' when I opened it to find only 5 slices and each about as thick as a postage stamp.
Not loaded but in fact the most anorexic tomato in the history of my sandwich munching career.
For anyone reading this review I toyed with not leaving a tepid review as the place seems mega popular but I wasn't happy and I can't sugar coat it.
I will be asking for the same sandwich on my return and will amend my review accordingly and write this review to communicate more so with staff and owner as today you were busy and I ended up walking to Tesco's while my mates ate with you.
Lovely place for sausage rolls, pies pork pies, sandwich, bread.
Staff in wheatmill are all so friendly, they make fresh cream cakes, fresh bread and pork Cobs to die for! Great prices too, always recommend.
Absolutely lovely little bakery. The food is so nice the queues are out the door.
