We have popped in on several occasions since July while out walking and really love this place. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food always tastes amazing and never takes long to arrive. There are weekly specials up on the wall which helps keep things interesting and not boring like a lot of places. Great location, as only a mile from where we live, so ideal for walking there and back and not having to take the car. Look forward to our next visit! Thanks again.
I was given a very friendly welcome in the bar when I arrived. It was too late to eat but the diners who were leaving seemed happy and the menu looked contemporary. My room in the annex was very clean and quiet. Bathroom a little dated but overall great value for money.
Impromptu family lunch after a trip to Loch Leven. Food was delicious and service excellent. A very welcoming environment and there were great choices on the menu! This is obviously a popular choice with locals and we were lucky to chance upon the Well!
A pleasant experience in the countryside of Dunfermline. Set in a beautiful little village which has really left a great impression on me. After visiting the sacred healing well, we popped into the inn across the well and had a wee drink and a meal. The food was hot, cooked well with flavour, and served by a helpful and accommodating chap who was very welcoming to outside visitors. I think you have a great little establishment here and wish you all the best! Onwards and upwards fella. You be well.
*i left a review on my experience of the well previously so this is my review on the Inn.
Really friendly staff running this this clean, well-maintained pub. Plenty of tables for eating / drinking, as well as the double bar area, with wood-burning stove. Food was great and a good price. The waitress made sure we had everything we needed and proactively refilled the tea pot. Couldn’t fault the place if I wanted to. Good location to end up at if you are walking the Michael Bruce way, as we did.
Stayed here for 3 nights as we were holidaying in the area. Had 2 rooms in the annexe at the back of the carpark which suited our purpose well. The rooms were clean and basic and exactly what you would expect for the modest price.||||The pub was fine, but with the temperatures dropping outside, it got a bit chilly unless you had the table by the fire. The staff were all very friendly and helpful....BUT the food is disgusting. As far as I could tell, everything has been frozen. I asked one of the staff if there was anything fresh on the menu and they grimaced and shook their head with an embarrassed look on their face. I asked if the £20 steak was frozen...surely not...nope ...the staff member had seen them being defrosted. Not one of the party had a meal that they enjoyed. It's a real shame. I was told that the place is on the market, so maybe morale is low and the owner has lost interest. Its a shame as this place could have real potential.
Had a room booked for a few nights. Great service from the guys here. Food was great! Just what we needed for a few days getaway.
My wife and I were walking in the area with our dog and popped in for lunch.||The menu was fairly extensive and the food we had was very tasty and servings generous. Very reasonably priced and made all the better by the eat out help out saving!||The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.||This was our first visit but we'd certainly go back if we were in the area.
