Do not live heard under any circumstance, I would rate 0 stars if possible. Apartments are absolutely atrocious in every way and management does nothing about it, by far the worst apartment management I have ever dealt with. Multiple fires happening all the time all over the complex and again, management does nothing to change. My apartment did not even have a fire extinguisher or working vent hood in it. Maintenance is horrible as expected. Vehicles in the parking lot had experienced multiple instances of vandalism/catalytic converter theft and the management chooses not to care, they don’t even have security. Finally after moving out and escaping this hell hole, they sent a $400 charge for a move out notice that was submitted 50 days early…..
ZERO STARS & ZERO RESPECT FOR THIS PLACE!
My spouse and I went to tour the apartment complexes absolutely adoring how nice and renovated they were.
We were manipulated into putting in an application for the place day of to save $999 dollars on rent. (Why we fell for this trap is beyond me, but Aaron was very convincing so we did!)
We made sure however to know that the $250 fee on this was refundable, which it is just like they’re still claiming.
With this being said, since it’s a refundable deposit… in the state of Michigan it is considered a security deposit.
Legally if you are not residing at their apartments, or not a tenant then they have a month to give you back your deposit.
It has been over a month now and I have been stripped of my first amendment rights, I have been lied to, hung up on, ignored, as well as my spouse. Absolutely avoid this place at all costs! And don’t fall for their lies!
Lived here for 2 years and it was the worst apartment complex I've ever experienced in my adult life. Lindsay in the office once told me "half the freaking community doesn't pay their rent on time." She's one of the property managers. So be warned! When issues arise with your account, she's the one you have to deal with... not great.
The floors had to be replaced when we moved in due to cat urine leaking up through the floorboards throughout the entire unit. The painters had to come back 3 times to fix the paint in our bathroom from flat paint to gloss. They removed the bifold pantry door and 1 set of vertical blinds from our living room while replacing the floors, and then charged us $500 upon move out for those items. Took them 2 months to replace my dryer when they couldn't fix it. They charged me 24 days in my last month instead of 14 days. After I refused to pay this incorrect amount, they sent my debt to collections. They won't communicate with you through email or phone. The Habitat parent company won't communicate with you either. They have frequent apartment fires. It's not a pretty community. They only care about landscaping by the office (clearly.) Seriously think twice before renting here. You've been warned!
called to get more information in regards to renting an apartment for my mother. It took me a total of 5 minutes after speaking to the gentleman that I knew this place was not worthy of my hard earned money. I called to ask if I can pay for a year up front in full in cash ( debit card, cash, check, credit card etc.) he told me no, they dont do that. I asked if they offered more than a 12 month lease, after I asked that I heard the phone slam down and I was hung up on. I then called back and asked why he hung up on me in which his reply was "on my momma I didnt hang up"........ WHO DO YOU HAVE WORKING HERE that would ever think that is professional to say to a potential customer? my hard earned money will go elsewhere. I wanted to sign a three year lease and pay in full.
We have had many problems living here, the latest being a fire. I do not recommend living here. It is very old and not up to date, inspections aren’t done as often as they should be. We’ve had a lot of electrical problems and our DTE bill around $500/ month. If you are to live here make sure you get renters insurance that isn’t through the complex.
Our daughter died while a resident of Waverly place. The complex will not let us in to remove her belongings and will be throwing them all away. We cannot believe the callous disregard the management team has had for our daughter and our family.
Not recommended as a suitable place for daily living. This place has very shotty electrical (two complexes have burned down and had to be demolished). The apartments are also infested with cockroaches, they are everywhere! Nothing works and there is no support for fixing any items when they break down. Cannot say enough that would support this place as being hospitable, doesn't even deserve a one star rating. This place should be condemned...
I was shown an apartment, told it was the one my daughter would be signing the lease for. When I went to help my daughter move in it was an apartment in a completely different building. Leaks in the closet ceiling, appliances not working and weeks to repair them. This place is terrible. Never rent from them.
