Out of the three chips shops in brightlingsea this ranks 3rd on the list. Pictured is a large portion of chips , which I find a little disappointing given the price. Chips were greasy compared to competitors, but perfectly ok. Wait time was good and everything was cooked fresh. overall an average experience, but I would be personally inclined to choose an alternative.
Very good position, fish and chips excellent, price to eat in a little high.we took the fish and chips out ( note pics show chip portion split between the two fish)which were well.packed in containers.would use again when in the area.
Lovely fresh fish and chips, the cod I had was fresh and very thick in chunks of cod, not too greasy at all and a good portion size, this is the best chip shop in Brightlingsea, the food does the talking, so what you doing, stop reading this and get down there to place your order ????????

£5 min card payment very strange in 2024. Didn't bother getting anything, pretty unwelcoming atmosphere
The most miserable owner, probably because I paid by card. He likes cash, he likes to avoid paying tax! Chips were chips but the cod was thin and nothing like what you'd get from a decent Fish n Chip shop. Premium prices for a 3rd rate service and food! Shame!
Travelled from chelmsford to brightlingsea today for fish and chips by the water. The food from this restaurant is amazing and the young girl serving was very polite and welcoming. Thank you for contributing towards a great day out. we will definitely be back.
This was the first time we have eaten here and it definitely won’t be the last!! Food was lovely, piping hot chips and perfect tasting fish.
