Very comfortable little pub hiding down an alley. Not to be confused with the Waterman’s Arms in nearby Ashprington. When I visited there were a pair of old regulars discussing the film Jaws.

A backstreet pub, set back on a side road behind The Dartmouth inn, an attractive stone fireplace in the bar area overlooks a small bar area, a couple of ales served. Gravity fed where possible.

What a great little bar this is, it's now become my favourite spot to drink in Totnes!! The bar stocks literally dozens of fantastic spirits, in addition to my favourite beers, they even have Greek Mataxa, which I am really into now since our trip to Rhodes!!
Probably one of the greatest hidden gems in Totnes. The Watermans Arms gets a bad reputation as being a local pub for local people, but that simply isn't the case. The staff are welcoming, the people are inviting and the drinks are probably the cheapest in Totnes.
If you're looking for a great pub atmosphere and a phenomenal range of spirits, look no further.
Beer was excellent, crystal clear jail ale. Decent landlord trying to run a good old fashioned pub, not getting much help from rowdy locals who don't respect what he is trying to do. Lots of swearing from locals in the beer garden.... just the type of thing that loses licences.
Excellent pub, friendly staff, real ale at a decent price. Nice quiet seating area outside and dog friendly.
