Always enjoy lunch here. Reasonably priced. Staff friendly. Toilets could do with an update, and it's always a little chilly. Food is always delicious & well presented.
Our second visit to The Waterfront we were not disappointed ,the food is superb ,the staff are friendly and helpful this is cooking at its best it is a small menu but the quality is outstanding we were there for lunch with friends and they were most impressed
The waitress and chef were extremely helpful. Chef actually came out and talked me through the vegan meal he could make me. Advised if I had booked then more options could be made available.
So me and my husband went in looking for a nice meal to celebrate our anniversary. The food was poorly seasoned and the chef was too full of himself he thought the food was absolutely perfect. Staff looked like they didn’t want to be there so I felt uncomfortable sitting there in such a dreary atmosphere. When me and my husband wanted to share a bottle of wine he just poured all of in into the 2 glasses and took away the bottle. I would not recommend when there are much better and cheaper places nearby
Visited for the first time last night and was more than impressed. The waiting staff were lovely and friendly, the food was to die for and the chef went above and beyond to suit dietary requirements. Will definitely be back, would give 10 stars if I could.
Excellent value lunch menu. Great food that tasted fresh and light. Great service with the courses served at a leisurely pace so we could enjoy our meal. We did not have a dessert, but the espresso was also excellent and a fitting end to a lovely meal
Had an excellent mid week meal at this excellent restaurant. A fantastic pasta parcel stuffed with chicken for starter followed by meltingly tender braised ox cheek with a medley of extra vegetables. Outstanding cooking and presentation. Had a good chat with the chef proprietor as well. Outstanding quality and value - highly recommended.
2 Americans on vacation happened into this fabulous restaurant. The owner, Tom, is a culinary genius and well known in the Scottish hospitality industry. Relaxed atmosphere, great food and reasonable prices. What more can I say? During our 3 week vacation we managed to eat there 3 times. Each time we ordered something different, although it was really hard not to reorder the goat cheese croquettes with beets! Tom says he will be changing the menu soon to reflect more Fall produce. I wish we were going to be there to experience those new offerings. Nice to find a place that emphasizes fresh, local items. In the US we call that movement "farm to table" or "Buy local." Thanks, Tom and Staff - we had great food and great fun.
