Haven’t been to The Walrus in about 6 years and recently had brunch their with some family members. I had their Breakfast Sandwich served with seasoned breakfast potatoes. The sandwich was deliciously savory because the buttery croissant flavor and the avocado. Yummy! We ordered a pitcher of Bottomless Mimosas. I think for a party of 3 we had 6. Compliments to our server (Jacob) for attentive, humorous, and prompt service. Modern decor with comfortable seating. Parking for a fee (contingent on time of day) out front and across the street. Cool crowd. Decent prices.
It's a sports bar/pub type place, which is fine. The food tasted good, and there are points for the Maple Bacon. My Maple Bacon burger patty was quite small compared to the bun and my friend's Bacon Grilled Cheese didn't have much cheese at all. Service was relatively prompt, but my meal came out well after the rest of my tables, and only after we pointed it out. Given that we had walked a mile there from our hotel, I was disappointed. Maybe it was an off night, but it didn't seem too busy.
Amazing food and atmosphere. We had dinner but there was a more lively side near bar. Recommend for dining or hanging out with friends for drinks. ????????????
A great spot I popped into for lunch. Service was quick and very friendly. The taco salad was delicious and the short rib had to be the best bang-for-buck in the category I've had in town. Construction outside was loud with the open garage-style windows, but it wasn't enough to outshine this nice little spot.
We had to wait a bit to be seated because they were short staffed. But the waiter was very nice. And after ordering, our food arrived quite quickly. I had the Buffalo ranch sliders. It was pretty good. I'd go back again sometime.
Me and some family stopped in here for a quick bite after a Clippers game. So happy they are open late and we were seated right away. Our drinks and menus came and we were informed that there may be a bit of a delay as there were only 2 servers there. Despite the warning our server was super friendly and great at explaining our menu items. We only waited 10 mins for our food and it was hot and accurate. Would’ve given five stars but my fried chicken sandwich wasn’t golden brown like I expected it was dark brown and black around the edges. I like my meat well done so I didn’t mind but that would be my only negative about this place.
This was a last minute choice for us but it came highly recommended. We left the Galaxy Con at around 10:30 PM and were looking for someplace to eat. One of our friends recommended the Walrus.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were seated quickly despite how packed it was. I was extremely hungry since that last meal I ate was at lunch and I walked around from about 4pm until 10PM at the Greater Convention Center.
We were able to order quickly and our food came back fast. I ordered the breaded chicken sandwich and fries. I ordered a pineapple juice. I am used to great food but so so fries. At Walrus, even the fries were great.
The atmosphere was chill despite the crowd. They had a great band playing that performed a variety of genres of music. I definitely plan on returning if I am out late in Columbus.
Our waiter was extremely helpful with his recommendations and was super nice. It was a bit loud at lunchtime. Food was good! Lobster Mac n cheese was amazing.
