Excellent meal in relaxed and jolly enviornment. I had a superb vegetarian meal, even though there hadn't seemed to be a vegetarian choice on the menu itself. I was given several tempting choices and chose a truly delicious wellington with lovely accompaniments. My husband loved his steak, which was perfectly cooked and, again, served with great veg. Fantastic beer from the bar too! We'll be back!
Used the restaurant. Very welcoming. Lovely Staff
Had the mixed grill….it’s phenomenal. Cooked to perfection. Refreshing change to have bubble and squeak though although I am sure if you need chips/fries these will be cooked for you
Will definitely be back. J and K
I stayed at The Victoria after it had just been renovated. The pub has a great atmosphere, staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. The food has improved beyond recognition, really good quality at a great price. So much choice too.
The rooms were lovely and clean, newly refurbished and very comfortable.
I would definitely recommend a stay.
Having recently moved to the area we decided to try here tonight. Staff very polite, friendly & helpful, well presented. Very good atmosphere and decorated well. |Food was very well presented but we did have some issues with some of the dishes. |The soup was tomato for starter, not sure is was soup to be fair, it was more like a gluppy bowl of something and didnt tatse of tomatoes at all im afraid, portion too big for starters also. It appeared to be made with gelatine or something as it was very weird. I think describing the prawns ascooked 6 ways is a bit misleading as they was all cooked the same but had six different sauces!! But the dish was very well presented, Also the pineapple with the gammon was black on the underneath. ||I would eat here again but probably not this menu to be fair. Again everything presented well but just a couple of dodgy issues.
Had a late carvery at The Victoria today. We had booked for 3-30pm as aware that it was due to finish at 4pm to 4-30pm and concerned enough food was still on offer. We were assured that there would be as knew we were coming.
As usual the welcome and service was great. We had the choice of four meats and a good selection of vegetables that weren't stewed, nice Yorkshire pudding, various sauces and thick tasty gravy. For £11-95 each my wife and I think it's good value and the friendliness of all the staff and their great service means we will return soon. The a la carte menu looks great also and the 3 course Valentine's night at £39-95 per couple has to be a gift! xx
We popped in for lunch and ordered a Ploughmans. Now we've had some Ploughman's in our time, but this was simply the best. It was amazing, the portion was enormous, we had to take a doggy bag!!. The pub is very dog friendly aswell and the staff and other customers very friendly, nice and comfortable decor. |I would recommend The Victoria highly and we will be back. 10/10
My partner & I came into this pub for a drink and the staff was absolutely lovely. I asked where else was good to drink in Hornsea with us not being from here & they recommended a place for us and were very chatty. Overall very impressed with the man & lady working on Saturday night on 3rd Feb???? they also mentioned about carvery they do on a Sunday where you help yourself to vegetables & trimmings, will definitely be considering coming for that tomorrow, Thankyou very much x
My husband and I stayed over for two nights in Room 3 (King size bed)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - Matt & Emma were extremely accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They weren't there when we arrived but Jane, who was on duty at the time made us feel most welcome.
In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we've booked to stay again
