Great family pub, good food at a reasonable price
Food is absolutely lovely and staff really friendly. Helps that the sun was out but a great afternoon in the garden drinking beer and enjoying the food. PS the soup is amazing was too busy enjoying the soup the photo is half way through. Dog friendly by the way
Myself and my friend stayed here for one night after having a shopping trip to Clarke's Village. We were a bit worried by some of the reviews but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a traditional pub, it's not part of a big chain. We arrived after 6pm and had a warm welcome from the staff. Our rooms were warm and clean with well equipped shower rooms and comfy beds. Tea and coffee making facilities in each room plus a fridge. We ate in the pub and although it's a small menu compared to some pubs there was a range of food. The portions were generous and the food tasty.||Our only issue was that breakfast was cereal to be taken in the room, not a problem as such but there were no bowls or milk. Had we noticed in time we would have asked at the bar and I'm sure they would have rectified this.||All in all good value for what it cost to stay. We fully intend to return.
Our accommodation was situated at the rear of the pub and our host the landlord Richard was excellent company. The pub sold great ale was situated in the centre of town and made it the perfect location for the wedding in Glastonbury and the reception in street. During our stay we made the most of a fantastic evening meal and then a bountiful lunch prior to our departure. This pub is made for people who do not want a television or juke box but simple good food and a natter. Very clean accommodation and quiet surroundings.
Me and my partner had excellent service both at the bar and at our table!!!! Nice too be in a pub that mades you feel so at ease. Lots to chose from the main menu and on the special board, which I can say, the food was amazing, really good.
Absolutely disgusted with the food and the customer service received from the manager. Will not be going back there again. We have been going there for a number of years and have never felt so unhappy about the place. The manager was very rude and obnoxious, didn’t want to listen to a complaint made. ||There was plastic in my husbands food and I made a polite complaint. He took the plastic out to his wife who was the chef and we were then told that Richard (manager) had eaten the piece after my husband tried to eat it. If that isn’t disgusting enough. ||He then said it was a piece of egg and that it was ok to eat. Sorry but that’s wrong!!||When I went to pay he charged me for the whole meal, he would not take responsibility for the mistake. Really bad customer service if you ask me. Kept talking over me and kept interrupting when I was speaking. Only a few minutes before he had a complaint from another customer and he just shrugged it off. People like him should not be able to conduct a business!!!
Like this pub very much. Nice atmosphere and good choice of beers and my friends who are omnivores say how nice the food is. I am a vegetarian and find the menu extremely limited and unimaginative. Soup seems to be the only vegetarian special on the board whenever I have eaten there.
Every meal at the Two Brewer's is spot on perfectly served. The food is the best in the area at very good prices. My Personal favourite and recommendation is the steak & ale pie from the special's board. The accommodation is of modern standards yet set in old lias stone cottage. Spotlessly clean accommodation again at very good prices. Friendly, helpful and welcoming landlord and staff with good Knowledge of the local area. 10/10
