Had one of the best meals every tonight! The Prime Rib, perfect! The NY Strip, perfect! The Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, perfect! Laurie, our server, perfect! The patio, perfect! Very special meal for our special day!
Amazing experience ⭐ loved it! Cher, our waitress, was so sweet and attentive, even though it was the end of the night. Cher if you see this...you were great I would have tipped more but I didn't know the cheesecake wasn't on the house ????????The food was amazing! I just thought it was a little over priced. Other than that, great experience!
Nothing but a good experience. Definitely one of the better steak places in Columbus. Others worth mentioning that are comparable: Jeff Ruby's, Hyde Park, Smith & Wollensky.
Now for the top I enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. Well worth the price. Flavor and serving size was there. Their ribs are only $30 for a full rack that comes with two sides. Honestly best deal on the menu if you're on a budget. I've bought then to go multiple times. Steaks are on point ????????. Not much to say. Flavor justifies the price. That was just my experience. I buy expensive meals often because their usually lackluster, but this place actually satisfied me and my partner thoroughly. Check it out.
I have been to The Top about six times throughout the last three years and I have to say I was not at all impressed this time around. I wished the salad would’ve had a little more color and life to it. The Top Mac & Cheese was a hit in the past but tasted like hard noodles in a bland thin cheese sauce time around. The lobster tail that came with my surf & turf entree was overcooked and chewy. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it came out medium rare. I sent it back and it came out medium well. I overheard my waitress telling the couple next to me that a new Sous Chef was being trained in the kitchen. I’m not sure why management chose a busy Sunday evening to train a new chef lol
I noticed there is a new menu and prices have gone up about $15-$20 for most entrees. This is to be expected but for the price, I was hoping the experience would’ve been better.
After years of hearing many great things about the The Top. I decided to go and check them out. When I walked through the door, I felt like I was in an old school movie restaurant setting. The service and staff were phenomenal. Our waitresses did a fine job explaining the menu and the chef specials. The managers came by several times to check on the table. Which I truly appreciated. I ordered the deviled eggs, which were just okay. I ordered the fillet mignon (medium well) which was good. With a side of mixed veggies and mashed potato’s. All which were very good. But to finish the night off the waitress gave me the NY style cheesecake on the house and it was phenomenal.

The Top is outstanding! The food is scrumptious and the service is fantastic! There are a lot of steak house options in Central Ohio....many of them are good/great. But The Top is our favorite because of the value (pricey but within reason) and the staff....from the General Manager, Emily, to long time server Kevin, and the two best bartenders in Columbus, Eddie and Will. Eddie even created a pineapple martini for me years ago that has been my go-to cocktail ever since. Their steaks are always well prepared, their ribs are incredibly tender, and their salads are fresh and tasty. Most recently we had their ribs and a ribeye and we were not disappointed. We ended with their chocolate martini which was a fantastic 'dessert'. The atmosphere is definitely old school with a small dining room and cramped spaces, but that adds to the charm along with Jerry on the piano. For the money, you can't get any better food, service or charm.
This place never disappoints. Always wonderful service. Excellent food, we always get steak. If you haven't had their home fries, they are amazing as well. My dad said they always make him a great martini just how he wants it. I personally really like the throw back Sinatra-esk atmosphere and hope they never change that.
