Tried to get fish & chips from here on a weekend not too long after they'd opened and it was too busy, queues out the door, so we gave up, and tried again on a Thursday evening - much quieter this time.
Ordered a large cod and my God, I think I received Shamu - it was enormous! Really tasty fish, with a little help from my boy we got through it! Chips were lovely, and kids enjoyed chicken nuggets. The curry sauce was fantastic too - thicker and tastier than most we've had.
Staff were friendly too.
We'll definitely be back.
Just had regular cod and chips with curry sauce from the top shop chippy, all cooked to perfection, decent size portions, and great value too... Will definitely be back!
We came here a few weeks ago and the service was quick and the food was all put in fresh just for us so it was very hot, the price was also very good we had 2 fizzy drinks and 2 small sausage and chips for £11! We would definitely come again
We had sausage & chips and fish & chips. Both very good and nice portion sizes.
We also had curry sauce. This was not the usual chip shop sauce. Totally different to places like the Jolly Fryer in Wisbech so don't expect the same. It was like a curry gravy, dark and smooth. Quite tangy.
We liked it.
We Enjoyed cod and chips and haddock and chips which was tasty and freshly cooked. Could have been a little crisper and minus fish skin for my son. But I will be back for more another day. Thankyou ????
Best fish & chips , Fresh and very good , curry sauce was nice but 2nd time we had it too salty .
Had beef and onion pie with chips ,curry sauce,bread roll.the pie was lukewarm and very bland the bread roll was hard on the edges due to the bag being open you might want to try wrapping them in cling film the curry sauce was really tasty it was a shame that the curry sauce was warm as well but I will try them again and see if things have changed
Excellent customer service and excellent food and very nice alterations to the shop ,definitely more customer friendly 5*
