I wanted to try this place after everyone seemed so positive about the food.
Unfortunately my experiance was not as expected! The salad on both starter and main was drowned in dressing making it not good at all. The prawns were average, the steak was average, the mash tasted of powder, the sausages were not high quality butchers meat (which the price would suggest they are). Majorly over seasoned peppercorn sauce which was unedible for myself, shame really as the place does look alright. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
We went for the all you can eat breakfast and turned up at 10.55 but they let us in and worked over their break. ???????? food was lovely. Thank you ☺️
The Tiger Inn is a nice friendly village pub. There is a good variety of beers, lager and cider including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, when I called in the quality was spot on. There is a traditional bar with a pool table and a nice cosy, separate lounge with a large dining room. The bar and part of the lounge are dog friendly. The pub has a large free car park.
Really cosy village pub! The food is lovely, really big portions and fair pricing. Service was fantastic all around, really lovely people. Thank you for a fab meal!
Great breakfast. You get what you're paying for. Very good service. Very friendly staff.
Booked a table for 5, waitress took us to a table with 4 chairs and then left us. Never received a menu, had to ask what was available. Never received a drink menu. Waitress returned after 2 minutes to ask what drinks we want. Drinks were served. We were then left for about 30-40 mins until a waitress shouted across the pub ‘did you order yet’.
Got the pork sunday roast. Pork overdone. Vegetables all came in same bowl and were soggy. Bottom of the bowl filled with water.
Table next to us started kicking off about the food quality and who I assume was the owner was not professional in the slightest. Very awkward and embarrassing.
Left pretty quick after food, had to go and ask for the bill because we had waited another 30 minutes with no sight of waiting staff.
They ended up charging us completely the wrong bill, but it was about £30 cheaper than what we should have paid so can’t complain.
Excellent meal and service on a Thursday afternoon. Myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our meals (fish pie and hunters chicken). The lad serving was here there ans everywhere but ensured we had everything we needed.
We are at The Tiger Inn on the 15th Feb. It was the first time we had been since the place had reopened and we weren't disappointed. We all had Parmo chicken all different varieties and we all had to take doggy bags home as we didn't want to waste any food. It was that nice. They staff were really friendly and helpful. It was very quiet when we arrived but it was 5.30 and a few more people turned up later. I would of liked a little background music to help with the atmosphere, but it certainly didn't spoil the evening. We will differently be repeat visitors. Looking forward to trying the lunch menu and the Sunday Lunch.
