Pros; great service atmosphere and happy hour specials. Cassie was fantastic as our server. Great on communication. Burger and wings were cooked perfectly and tasty.
Two negatives; no print or online beer menu. Most importantly, the club sandwich was bland. Tasted like packaged meat (see photo). Two out of three items were good, and as I mentioned previously, the service was great. Views from the bar are a bonus as well. Won't hesitate to come back, but I will avoid ordering the club.
OK, I'm a picky wing girl and I'm the very first to admit that. I've tried several things here, just hadn't done the wings, but Jordan was amazing and told me they are her favorite so I had to try.. oh. My. God. Yes yes and yes. Great dry rub, great blue cheese and the wings were perfectly cooked! Definitely some great food they are putting out here!
The food was ok. Service was just OK. My steak had no seasoning, so no flavor. Asked for salt and pepper to give it something. Veggies and mash potatoes were good.
Spicy margarita was great!! And my husband and I, both veterans, were grateful for the special. Delicious burger, wonderful fries. Service was slow but our server had a lot of tables. She was very pleasant and apologetic for it.
They have a gluten free bun ????. They do not have a gluten free menu, so I asked our waiter a lot of questions. But Isabella was very willing to find out the answers.
Street tacos were great!
The walleye dinner was small portions. The fish was not very flavorful but the mashed potatoes and veggies were good.
The Paul Bunyan burger is good. Fries, great and the ranch dressing, amazing!
Pulled pork nachos were good. Very large portion.

This is the second time I've tried The Tavern, the first time being several years ago. It has not improved. Waited for over twenty minutes to be initially served, ordered 2 appetizers immediately then waited another 20 - 30 minutes for Onion Rings and Mushrooms. Seven rings for $13, five mushroom caps the size of a quarter, and one the size of silver dollar for $14 was sad. As a chef and restaurateur, I am fully aware of food cost along with overhead, but the servings were paltry. You could count the fries served with burgers, a child sized portion. One burger plate had clearly had fries set on it, then removed when realized it was suppose to be curds. She had to wait for the curds. The Shrimp Mac & Cheese was served 5 minutes ahead of the remaining diners at our table and was not hot. The ribeye was plunked on top of its accompanying potato and vegetable, terrible plating. Will not be recommending this place to anyone. Very disappointing.
I have visited The Tavern several times over the past few years. I've always enjoyed the food. My last visit included a tasty cheeseburger and fries! Lindsey was our attentive waitress. She always had a smile while filling our many requests. The atmosphere is inviting and open. A great place for our family to gather!
This is great place to relax after work. The walleye strips are excellent and the beer is cold. Jenna is great server and is happy all the time.
