This was the most amazing place to eat! The owner/hostess welcomed us when she saw us coming—even before we got to the door. She was the friendliest hostess and very attentive to everything. The prices were very reasonable and the lamb was outstanding; so fresh and tender. What a gem of a find! I highly recommend!
We were recommended to this tavern by our host at our Air bnb. What a pure delight this place is!! The owner/hostess met us at the door, and was so friendly and inviting. The environment is warm, cozy, friendly, and comfortable. The hostess was so generous in her attention, time, and manner. The food was AMAZING! And the prices very fair and affordable. We felt cared about, important and doted upon. We HIGHLY recommend her tavern and will definitely go there again.
Went in for a Sunday lunchtime. Great staff and service. Made us very welcome. Went for the fish goujons starter which had lovely home made tartar sauce. Beef Roast - great portion. Nicely cooked veg and excellent potatoes. Just let down a little by the beef being a bit over cooked for me.
What a good find, The Tavern was recommended to us and this place exceeded our expectations. We brought an elderly Aunt out for lunch who had just lost her husband. It was pouring down when we arrived. The landlady Sam, dashed out of the pub with an umbrella! How thoughtful, such a nice touch! Food was beautiful and we cleared our plates. Sam also showed us the rooms for staying over, very modern with everything you’d need. Also one room is dog friendly! I’d recommend this place and we will definitely return. Thank you Sam for your hospitality.
Me and my partner stopped for a meal on our way back from IKEA today.
The staff were excellent and really attentive. We had coffee when we first arrived and it was lovely coffee. And the only way to describe the food is amazing. I had fish and chips and my partner had the lamb. Both meals were cooked to perfection. One of the nicest meals we've had out in a long time. We will definitely be making a journey just to go there again.

Only called in for a drink but pub was lovely. Great service from a lovely bar lady. Food that other customers were eating looked delicious. Beautiful location/scenery. Will definitely go again ????
Cant really say anything about the rooms. But we had one of the best Sunday Roasts ever here this last weekend. Wish we'd gine before now seeing as it's local to us. Roast dinner just like your grandma used to cook.
