Used to be a really nice place inside. Hope it springs back to life again.
The new owners are down to earth and they're "real people" rather than just bar staff. they help to make the environment like a second home. Great place to relax and wind down. What I like to call a proper local which is rare nowadays.
Banks's Amber only on handpull, otherwise tidy little local.
Open again after lockdown. Cosy bar and lounge with a large covered outdoor seating area. Separate pool/games room. Worth a visit!
Have been a few times, one bar staff has ruined my experience by verbally abusing customers behind their back. Specifically 'Daniel' Who I have heard multiple times mocking regulars and customers. Makes me feel very uncomfortable. Avoid if at all possible.
Brilliant evening watching Quirks at Welshpool Music Festival. Bar staff brilliant dealing with large number of customers. Polite, quick and on top of things.
Great choice of drinks and an excellent pool room. The Landlord's not bad either, in small doses ;-)
