Room was very clean and tidy, came with a kettle and bits for making teas and coffees. Single room was only £40, very reasonable price and didn't have to pay until I arrived. Nice owners and good prices at the bar.
went here for a few beers, was good fun, left having a good evening with regulars. probably visit here for a pint again
I came down from Manchester for a family funeral and was instantly made to feel welcome by the owner Raymond who is a lovely fella to talk to and a genuinely nice person. The locals are great to talk to also and were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and its history. The room was plenty big enough and very comfortable with a large bathroom with a decent hot shower. I can't speak highly enough of this place and the owner. I will definitely be coming back to stay here with my family and hopefully it will be many times. A pleasure to stay.
Always a welcome but rooms nearly always booked. Clean, warm and convenient. Very reasonable
I stayed at Taff Hotel with my wife and Son. It was a pleasant experience. We did B&B and booked a Sunday lunch. I have to say that the food was outstanding. I would recommend without reservation. WE did have out dog there a while as my Aunt who was supposed to be taking his was out when we arrived in town. They kindly let us keep him there, although this is not a normal provision for them them and I can understand why - but they went the extra mile. Rob B.
We only live up the road but have never called in, we don't tend to go to 'pubs' but tonight thought we'd give it a go and, oh boy, I'm SO glad we did.|Such a warm and friendly welcome with a spotlessly clean, cosy and inviting restaurant area (to the right of the front door). Lovely menu which was reassuringly not too extensive (so not relying on microwaves!). I had the seafood basket, husband had chilli with 1/2 and 1/2. |Let me make one thing clear, it is worth coming here for the chips alone!! Real, honest to goodness, CHIPS!! Not pre-frozen uniform sticks but proper, peeled and cut spuds!! They were soo good!! The seafood was well cooked and not greasy with two dips, the chilli was well seasoned and really tasty. Dessert (Raspberry pavlova and a Salted Caramel cheesecake) was bought in but really good quality and beautifully presented. All the food was delicious and a pint of lager, pint of coke, glass of wine, 2 mains and 2 delicious desserts came in we'll under 40 quid!!|We will definitely be back.
Second time we’ve eaten here. Second time we’ve enjoyed. I had home made carbonara and you could tell it was fresh. Two pieces of cheesy garlic bread and I was away to the woods. Service with a smile and two young girls serving who were a credit for their very young years. All in all superb.
Friendly staff made us feel welcome. We had food in the restaurant two evenings, excellent service and quality.
The rooms were clean and tidy, warm and comfy.
I would highly recommend the Taf for a meal or stay
Thanks
