A wide variety of sweets and even some imported drinks on the shelves, some of the sweets the local corner shops no longer stock. I didn't see a mixed bag of retro sweets but may have missed it if there was one. The prices are very high given the portion of sweets in the bags are so tiny, sadly there was no multi buy discount offer available either e.g. 5 for the price of 4, or discount on the 3rd bag if people buy 3 bags, if the owner is reading this please consider it as it may entice people to purchase multiple bags of sweets. I would return though, the shop isn't bad just expensive for what you get.
It has some nice selections of candies.
Paradise for sweet tooth.
Looking forward to some proper sherbet lemons. They looked nearly the same as the ones I bought in the 60s/70s. Asked shop assistant if they had sherbet in the middle, like originals, and was told yes. Not only did they not have sherbet in the middle but they were just bland, barely tasting of lemon at all. Not recommended. Am only giving one star cause it won't post with no stars.
Lots of choice but I felt some of the pick and mix items had gone a little stale? Perhaps people leaving the lids open.
They have pretty much every sweet you could want, with a large sugar free range as well as American sweets/chocolate/drinks (at competitive prices for imported sweets), look out for offers as there will be some.
I arrived at 2 mins to closing after rushing to get there for some sugar free mints to eat as I watched my film . A abrupt young girl advised me with the shutter half down that they were trying to get home . She was also huffing and puffing at other customers in the store. Store looked good but I can only review on my experience.
Great selection of sweets
Thanks to Suzie for several years of supplying lots of sweet things by posting my firm favorites. Visited once on trip to Salford and return ‘virtually’ every year since. I nominate it as an Oscar-deserving Sweet Shop.
