The welcome was warm. The room exceeded our expectations and was pristine and modern. The staff were brilliant and really good with the kids and the food was excellent and very keenly priced, maybe even too cheap for what you get portion wise!
We will 100% be back. Thank you Nick and Team.
The hotel is ok and probably what you would expect for £25 a night. The room was clean but the hall leading to the rooms was absolutely stinking of Dogs. We had booked a family room and got split into two rooms which was a little disappointing as we were looking forward to all being together. The room on the ground floor the toilet was absolutely stinking of mould/poo and was very un pleasant. When my friend in the other room came home from her night out at 1:30am all the doors were locked and she couldn't enter the hotel. She had to climb through the downstairs window to her room which isn't safe at all. I think its shocking that they lock the doors and do not let you in after they shut the pub. Wouldn't return or recommend.
2nd visit in 1 week. Had ran out of mac cheese. My steak pie and mash was cold, and roast potatoes overcooked and greasy. We waited 45 minutes for the food to be served, as they were giving priority to deliveries. Really disappointed, as the previous visit, the service was fast, and food was piping hot.
I’m taking this opportunity to thank Nick and his staff for looking after us so well. The Swan is very welcoming and exceptionally dog friendly too. |Unfortunately they don’t currently have a chef, and so there was no food available, and consequently no breakfast either. ???? |Nick did however give us 10% discount at his other premises “The Pub”, where the food was tasty and reasonably priced. |We stayed in Room 1. which was a great size to accommodate 2 friends and 2 labradors too.|The shower was excellent, and toiletries were provided. |The beds however were too soft for me and the edge of the mattress was collapsed, causing me to feel I may roll out. |All that being said, we enjoyed our stay, and the bar was clean bright welcoming and at a nice price point too.
Service was top notch. Adrian at the bar could not have been more helpful. Clean, spacious, well priced rooms. Will definitely be back
Came in for dinner last night and it was lovely. The venue is small and intimate, the staff were attentive, the service was brilliant and the food was fantastic. I unfortunately never caught the name of the girl who served us but she was so kind and bubbly and made our experience even better!||The portion sizes are fairly large and you definitely get what you pay for! I had the arrabbiata with a side of seasoned wedges, super filling and tasted great!||We will definitely return if we are ever back in the area!
Stopped in the town in our campervan, so came here for a couple of drinks and food, really friendly place, food was spot on, and good drinks
Great wee find for an overnight stay. The room was spotless and looked like it had been recently decorated/improved. Bathroom was very clean and after a 3 mile run on Saturday the shower was very warm and powerful.||Excellent food the night before in the bar, fresh cooked and huge portions.||Happy to come back and stay here again.
