Met friends for a catch up, nice atmosphere two roasting fires traditional pub great choice of beer, 'stairway to heaven' very nice, doesn't serve main meals, just bar snacks Crisps etc. Dog friendly.
This was my local for years, and I visit whenever I'm in the village.
Great Ales, very good Guinness, friendly staff.
A proper pub.
Had skittles night for my husbands birthday great night, buffet organised by the Swan was lovely bar staff friendly and helpful definitely recommend .
Great place for a traditional pint. Only bar snacks available. Beer was excellent and the place nice and cosy with a roaring fire????
Nice local friendly pub also
Dog friendly.
Nice choice of real ???? ales
Good choice of everything ????
Like the warming log fires too.
Yeah great pub.
Traditional old pub set in the centre of the market place with parking for customers at the rear, through the arch. Newly refurbished comfortable seating in the three distinct areas with a central bar serving a good selection of real ales to including guest ales. Good selection of quality wines available too as well as snacks including pies and cheese and onion cobs. All very reasonably priced and served by very warm and friendly staff. The open fires are sure to be a draw for a cosy night when it's cold outside. With a sheltered, covered seating area out the back for warmer days. Clean and stylish toilet facilities. A unique feature is the skittle alley upstairs that can be booked for private functions. Popular with locals who are very welcoming and keen to chat about the area and the historical photos on display on the walls.
Nice traditional old pub with lovely features.
Good selection of ales.
Down side hard to get to the bar even with plenty of free seating.
As locals always block the bar by standing there with drinks and are reluctant to move on every occasion I have visited.
Great pub, good service and nice beer. Lots of traditional charm. The toilets (well certainly the gents!) Have been refitted which was long overdue. They look very tidy now and are also clean. Pub also now sells a range of quality pies as bar snacks. Recommended!
