The Star is definitely the brightest object in Weymouth for me.
The Jazz night is superb and Karaoke night great fun too .
Beer is always good and ales change regularly - prices very reasonable.
The best bit though, is that everyone (staff & locals) seems really friendly and welcoming. I wish that I lived close enough to make to make It my local.
Love the place . Alex the Landlady is Lovely . I was there with Graham a very old friend. We even ate our chinese takeaway in there . I offered to was our plates . Alex did them . The regulars there are nice and the hospitality is fab ! ???? pete the glue
Had a swift pint, was great, background music was top too, Stone Roses and all sorts were on

Great little pub. Lived in Weymouth over 3 years but my first visit. Went to see Billy Boy Miskimmin who was great. Friendly staff and customers and good beer. Will go again
The star is not a pub I would ever think to step into as on first impression it's not for me, however I am so glad I have done. I have now been twice on work night out. We are welcomed in and feel relaxed and comfortable. There is a very relaxed atmosphere. We love the karaoke, the drinks are very reasonable and most importantly for me the toilets are clean.
Overnight stop on way to Dorset good food perfict position free parking just what we needed. Pictures view from hotel.
