Called for a real ale. Tried a pint of vocation brewery bread and butter. Proper locals pub.
A large friendly pub with several TV's showing sports.
There are about 5 hand pumps available, but only 3 were active on my last visit.
I tried the Great Newsome and the Wold Top, which were on good form.
Certainly worth revisiting.

Great pub, nice atmosphere and excellent staff. In a great location not far from the town's centre. Recently started hosting the Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club on the second Saturday of each month!
Welcoming, traditional old pub with friendly staff. Small selection of local beers as well as usual big brands. Home cooked food.
Good honest pub with fine beers. Can't get much better. Staff friendly and always a warm welcome.
