Best KPortal Reviews

04/27/24 - I recently visited the relocated and new The Spaghetti Warehouse with one of my best friends. It may look small on the inside but on the inside a massive open space for dining. You may also dine at their outdoor patio. The historic trolley is gone. They have a simulated version of it in which you may also dine in. The color pallet for decor has changed. Comfortable seating complimented with scenery of the Columbus Commons area. There is a lift gate like window for open view. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich which was good and a Cesar salad. Nice and friendly service. Thank you, Justice. Nearby parking for a fee. Decent prices.
I had a lovely lasagna lunch here. Their lunch menu was a little cheaper than dinner. Their lasagna tasted perfectly sweet with minced meat. You must love it if you are really into sweet food. But its 15 layers were easy to get apart. The vegetarian minestrone soup was a little mediocre.
The service was excellent and really fast. This place was well decorated and had a lot of dining room. It also had a great view of John F. Wolfe park in the back.
This is one of the best places for lasagna. The spaghetti and meatballs are very good as well. Their sourdough bread and garlic butter is top notch. The food is always hot and fresh, never had any reason to complain. The service is very good with good vibes from the serving staff. This new location is located in such a place where parking can be a long walk. The old location on South Broad was much easier to get into and out of. The new location is very well decorated and setup for success. Give them a try on fine in or carryout, you will not be disappointed on the quality of food. I got carryout before took it home and froze it, it reheats and tastes just like you were sitting there eating. Keep up the good work fokes and I'm so happy your back open. The best place in Columbus for Italian food. See you soon for some awesome food and bread.
I usually get an order to go as well. The lasagna reheats very well and the bread. The lasagna actually tastes better frozen the thawed out and baked.
It is with great regret that I have to review this and rate them for what I have to rate them with. Spaghetti Warehouse at his old location was phenomenal in my time living in Columbus, Ohio. Then there was a short period where it kind of fell off where the food just wasn't as good. Then a little before the closing of the spaghetti Warehouse, the food became phenomenal again. The red sauce was excellent. The pasta was perfect. The bread was just melting in your mouth and of course the atmosphere of the warehouse was excellent. However, there were things that happened in force them to move so I took some time. Waited with great anticipation for the new location to open. I waited on purpose a while just so they could work all the bugs out. I went on my son's birthday he wanted to go so we took him and it was absolutely horrible. The food was not good. The chicken parmesan was dry. The red sauce tastes like red water. The pasta was not good at all. The bread was horrible. The best thing about it was the service our server. She was nice and friendly. She was excellent but the food is why we were there along with trying to you know catch a glimpse of the new atmosphere which is not there at all. The ambiance of it is not at all like it was and I do understand things have to change but the one thing that could never change is the quality of food in the quality of food. The day I went was not good at all and it's not the service fault at all. The food is just not good and I regret and hate to say that because of the love I once had for spaghetti Warehouse and I regret to say I will never return again because of the food quality. One another note, parking can also be a big problem as well. Moreover, if you get a salad you will get it an extremely small salad. It's almost like a kids menu salad. It's not worth it.
The food was delicious as always. I was slightly disappointed in the ambience. It’s just not the same as it was but you’re talking about a girl who grew up as a child going to the Spaghetti Warehouse. I knew the history of many of the artifacts in the old restaurant, including the stained glass windows and the trolley car. The service was excellent. The people were friendly I would return.
Way better than I remember the old Spaghetti Warehouse being. The food is really great tasting and great quality. This place is a great value for your money.
Not too impressive! The menu is about 1/4 of the size it used to be with only certain items available. The atmosphere is Nothing like it used to be in the old location.......lacks ambience. Overall, it seems with the location change there's been a management change and it isn't for the best. Mediocre service and mediocre food. I wouldn't recommend it.
i had never been to the original columbus location, but i've heard it was one of the most special dining experiences in Columbus. it sucks about the roof collapse forcing them to move... in more ways than one.
make no mistake, the food here is still good. i got the 15-layer lasagna, and my date got the carbonara. the meat sauce for the lasagna was so good i was dipping our garlic bread in it, and the carbonara is BURSTING with flavor. but the actual lasagna itself was just kind of... boring. it felt more like a vehicle for the amazing meat sauce.
service was good, and the "trolley car" booths were nice, but... my date made it clear it just wasn't the same. the warehouse had its own special appeal as a time capsule, a gateway to a century long past. at its new location, it's just another place to eat on high street. it has no personality of its own. you'd be forgiven for thinking it was one of the many Short North semi-formal restaurants.
overall, it was good, but i definitely think the move took some shine off the Spaghetti Warehouse brand. hopefully they can return to the iconic warehouse and get the spark back.
