Welcoming and comfortable. Excellent food. We are early. There were only a few others having drinks and another table eating, so it was quite quiet . We ordered some starters to share, which came out quickly. Followed by a massive pizza and a bowl of chips ???? with gravy (I know, teenagers! ). A massive pulled pork burger, that out did the other teenager ????. We had the American high tea sharing plates. The selection was great, quality of presentation was excellent. With drinks it came in just under £100, so not a cheap meal out, but the quality and portion size made you feel that it was value for money. Will I go again? Certainly.
Three of us (ladies) shared the American high tea, we ordered nibbles but wouldn't have needed to as we couldn't finish it all although it was delicious. Would love a salad option on main menu. The quality was very good - tasty food, well presented the atmosphere was great we booked an early table and as we left it was starting to fill up so recommend booking in ????
Although we couldn't eat in this wonderfully refurbished establishment this lunchtime we had a very good welcome. As it was Monday they didn't start serving food until 4.00 pm. We had heard from friends how good it was. We were shown the extentive menu. Due solely to the manager's enthusiasm we have made a reservation. After a refreshing beer we left looking forward to our next visit.

I have been twice now the first time was brilliant hence why we returned for my birthday, there were 13 of us and they managed our booking relatively well considering the number. The food was ok, the service was not. The waitress was heard apologising to other tables for our noise because we had a young toddler that was crying. I was appalled. Overall we Felt really let down this time.
Just had a fine meal at the Social Kitchen to celebrate my wife's birthday. Had had mixed reviews prior to going but can honestly say could not have asked for a better meal and surroundings. Staff helpful. Will certainly go back.
My first time visiting, The service was extremely slow and disorganised, the staff seemed very young and inexperienced and unfortunately we were asked constantly the same questions by different staff members. We were given a bottle of wine uncorked and had to go upto the bar to get it uncorked.. Also they had run out of most of the desserts on a Sunday, from the previous night.. Leaving very little choice, to add they also messed up or dessert order.
That said the Sunday lunch itself was rather nice. I would give it one more chance encase it was a one off as I'd heard good things previously.
Our first visit here. Won't be the last. 5 in our group. 3 adults and 2 older teens. From being greeted warmly on our arrival, seated straight away in relaxing surroundings, lovely staff taking our drink and food order, to food arriving beautifully presented and very tasty, shared puddings which were fab. Non of us could fault anything. All I can say is get planning a visit.
We decided to check it out after it changed hands. It’s been redecorated nicely and staff is very friendly and helpful, including fresh water for the dog :-) We were pleasantly surprised with the food. The meat is from Lakins, THE butcher in Louth, and the meat was cooked to perfection. My only criticism is that the knives could have been a bit sharper for use with the beef. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be back on a regular basis :-)
