We have wanted to stop in before and finally made it in! Sad to say we have spent the past year driving to Plant City for decent bbq and this whole time Smokin Ox has been right here. We ordered all the things pork, ribs, and brisket. For sides we ordered okra, turnips, and Mac and cheese. You can tell a lot about a bbq place by their sides. Yes they are homemade and very good. The bbq was fantastic and lots of sauces to choose from. It’s an order at the register and they bring it to you cafe style. The staff is very friendly and the food comes out quick.

Good flavors and the meat has definitely been smoked as advertised. We will be repeat bbq fans. Honestly, don’t bother with the other places. This is the one.

I have been here twice now and the food is amazing. The sides are huge! Even when getting Togo food it stays fresh and yummy when you are home! Easily the best BBQ around! My FAVORITE is the corn casserole, it’s just like my granny makes it ????????????????.

The two ladies at the front are absolutely the sweetest women! They were new and trying so hard to make sure they had everything correct and they did a wonderful job! The food was fantastic! The fried green tomatoes, brisket, and fried pickles were my favorite. The fat fries are out of this world with the brisket! If you're a fan of BBQ stop here! We will be back for sure! We even got a lb of brisket to go for our dad on the way home because we knew he'd love it and HE DID! Great food prices were decent and service was excellent! 10/10!

Was in the area for business and stopped in because of a recommendation and was very pleased... food was delicious, service was excellent, and atmosphere was nice and comfortable. Pics don't do justice... ribs and brisket were very tender, fried okra was amazing. Will definitely go back if ever in the area again. Stop in and enjoy!

First time going here on 02/24/24. The staff is really friendly and makes sure to check up on you while eating. I love that with the brisket they give you the option of either getting lean or fatty. I got the lean. I also got the fried pickles and they were really good. It’s nice too that they have 4 different BBQ sauces at every table to choose from. I tried the Original and the Sweet one. Both are pretty good but I would definitely recommend the Sweet one.

We came across this establishment completely by accident and are so happy we did. I got the brisket sandwich and the fried green tomatoes and my wife got the turkey salad sandwich. Everything was excellent! The brisket sandwich was juicy and tender and had the perfect amount of seasoning and smoke. The wife loved her sandwich as well. I highly recommend this great restaurant!

Wow! Unbelievable BBQ. Probably one of the best in this area. I ordered chopped brisket and spicy fried pickles. The brisket was flavorful(no sauce needed) and extremely tender. The spicy fried pickles were great. Loved the spice.. Service was amazing and the young lady taking the orders was very friendly and courteous. Will be coming back for sure..

I come to this location quite regularly and get the same thing but decided to try something different which was the corn casserole... the appearance was rather thrown together and dry. I tasted it and it was too dry for my liking..I asked to replace it for something else and was told by the young cashier that he'd have to ask to replace it since it was a hot item.. the co- worker he asked said no it couldn't be replaced, she goes to ask a manager/ Owner who she then said he said no..I asked to speak to him at 2:20...as of this writing,(2:42p) he had NOT come to address his paying customer, a frequent paying customer. Instead of him addressing me, he sends his employee to handle the small situation. The item was 3.12.. there's no exchange/ refund policy notated anywhere. All I wanted was a different item and he NEVER, EVER spoke to me.

Perhaps this is why it's empty at 2:47pm on a Thursday
