I wouldn't call this "authentic sushi" but nevertheless pretty good. I love their large portions of miso soup and restaurant aesthetic. I would have wished they had more plain sushi options like a salmon roll. It also would have been nice to include that the salmon sashimi bowl came with purple cabbage, which the person with me who ordered it thought did not pair well with the rice and salmon. I did appreciate the great service. Our waiter was this friendly girl with pretty curly hair. Please tip her well!
This was my second visit here, and I have to say my first time was better. Service was just okay. Ordered the cucumber salad which was underwhelming. Summer roll was delicious.
Excellent service & sushi quality! The drinks were fun too - they have a surprisingly robust beer selection as well. The chef special rolls were well worth it!
The sushi was wonderful. Definitely some creative and delicious combinations. Some ingredients used were seared steak, bacon, cream cheese. They even had their own jalapeño chutney/salsa. Service was excellent. The restaurant is decorated as a tiki bar and tastefully done. This place will be my go-to restaurant if I find myself back in Sewickley.
This place is always phenomenal sushi. They have a great selection, not just your normal spicy tuna and salmon cream cheese (altho they have these too!) Try the Triton Tuna and flaming Mermaid if you like spicy. The Lemon on some of their rolls is definitely a lil surprise and nice touch.
You may have to wait so during busy hours Weekends, evenings, ect expect to wait a little, but good things take time and worth the wait.
This seaweed salad has a much richer flavor than other seaweed salads I have eaten before. I would also like to point out that the ginger that comes on the side of a sushi roll here is thick and juicy.
There are not a ton of vegetarian options but there ARE options available.
I also had the Riki Tiki Tini, which tasted like it should be a candy. And of course, a Mai Tai is a classic, so I had theirs here, too. They were tasty drinks.
Have officially gone to both Navarre and Sewickley locations. Woo Hoo! Amy, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Made our experience at the Sewickley location well worth the drive from the city. We shared a total of 4 rolls. The tropical mermaid, the slippery mermaid, the tiger roll, and the philly roll. Yum ! Will definitely be back, whether it’s this location or the one on the beach ????
We LOVE ❤️ ???? the Slippery Mermaid. Sushi is spot on! Reasonably priced, great taste, always delectable. I come here every time I'm in town I live 6 hours away , my Goddaughter and I choose this as our first stop. Thank you for opening so close to Ambridge.
