We had a really great date night here at The Simpson. The atmosphere was great everyone was so welcoming from the greeter to our server they made sure we have everything we needed. The food was Amazing! To start the Honey Curry wings were so delish! I had the classic oxtails with rice and peas while my husband had the Snapper both were delicious! We finished off with the Tuxedo chocolate bomb which surprisingly was light and OUT OF THIS WORLD! We cannot wait to return and try more on the menu!
Food was ok, but service was not, they are extremely slow. Took us more than three hours for lunch to get out of there. And bartender doesn’t know what he is doing. We ordered two espresso martinis, since we didn’t receive our drinks for like half an hour, I kept my eyes at the bar. When he finally started to make our drinks, he poured bunch of simple syrup! We ended up with Sugar Coffee, not Espresso Martini. Of course we returned the drinks.
Not recommended!
The food was esquite.
I had a wonderful visit.
The pasta was to die for.
It was all good as I walked out the door.
The bartender is charmed.
To all the ladies, he's sweet, don't be alarmed.
The customers were just as great.
Good place to be when you're on a date.
Thanks for all the warm food after a long drive.
Hits my soul and brings a tear to my eye.
P.S. The bartenders name is Austin. Look em' up ladies.
Jessica was the best and needs a raise too! She knew all the dishes and gave best recommendations …. Friendly service with a smile even when you got busy Jessica is the Best and the owner Top Chef extraordinaire was funny and friendly and allowed us a photo!! TY Simpson Restaurant!!!
My husband and I went out for a simple dinner for our anniversary. The food was amazing. The service was just okay for us. We went on a Tuesday night, about 1.5 hours before they closed so I understand they were probably over the day. Haha the restaurant is big, clean.
I would visit again
Diamond provided very good customer service. The restaurant was clean and the staffs were friendly. There wasn’t many choices on the menu. The food was GOOD but the portion was small and it was pricey. We had bammy and ackee and saltfish bites for appetizer. We were served 3/4 bammy with a tablespoon of ackee and saltfish on the bammy for $17!
The curried lobster was good. I tried jerk fried rice with shrimp for the first time. That was good as well, just a little salty. The rum punch was good but the fruit punch wasn’t all that. The mac and cheese was good, and also the jerk chicken wings! I will definitely go back!
@thesimpsonbk Caribbean/Soul Food. The right kind of spice for a birthday celebration:
- Sample Platter (Honey Curry Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Last Lick Buffalo Chicken, Vegetable Role, Cod Fish Fritter, Coconut Shrimp)
- Coconut Curry Salmon
- Escovitch Red Snapper

I met a friend who lives in Crown Heights here for dinner, which was better than I thought it would be. The carribean atmosphere was excellent as was my guest. Just about a few hundred feet across from The Barclay's Center.
We had the peas and rice w/St Louis Ribs and cod fish fritters... ????????
