Best KPortal Reviews
The Silo has a wonderful atmosphere and some good pizza! Not only does the exterior include a silo, but the interior is all wooden and decorated and even has a train set running on the ceiling. I started off with the French Onion Soup, which was delicious and came with some sharp cheesy garlic bread. I had a chicken bacon ranch pan pizza and a cheese thin crust pizza. The pan pizza was really good and I recommend pan style over thin crust. The thin crust had very light sauce and the crust itself was soft. The cheese was a little overpowering but I will still say the thin crust was good. It was my birthday, so the friend I was with got me a birthday pizza, a cinnamon sugar dough topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate and caramel sauce. It was pretty good and a nice birthday dessert.
Truly the best deep dish pizza you'll ever have. I just moved away from the area but still dream about how delicious this pizza is. Make sure to ask for extra sauce because their sauce is AMAZING. The dough is soft and fluffy. They have so many amazing toppings to choose from. The service is always great and the staff is super friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the best deep dish in Chicago!!
One of the best pan pizza in Chicago area. Sauce, cheese, dough, and toppings all make it distinct and great. Worth drive up from Chicago. Highly recommend.
Food was pretty good, but not outstanding. Wait staff were great. The atmosphere was marred by an overserved and loud patron at a neighboring table. We should have ordered their pizza; that's what I remember from years ago that was outstanding.
Fantastic place! We came here after our boy graduated Navy basic. We went with the deep dish supreme pizza. It was very good. Service was great and the beer was cold and refreshing. Good place to bring your new sailor!
Some of the best deep dish in the Chicago land area. The best way to eat is takeout. Order half baked and finish at home. Amazing!
First visit to Silo’s was one week ago. My husband has visited this restaurant for a couple of years while on business trips to the area and this was my first time. We ordered a 14 in Taco Pizza with thin crust ($24.99) to share and it was really really good. Not many restaurants make a taco pizza and if they do, it’s not nearly as tasty as this one. Deep Dish is the specialty in this area but the thin crust on this pizza was perfect.
Our server (Kylie) was friendly, very personable and just awesome.
The restaurant is really a great environment. There are model trains close to the ceiling, Pennie’s make up the floor in the men’s restroom. The dining room is quite large and there is a nice bar area. We saw several people picking up take out as we were coming in and leaving the restaurant. Out of our whole week visiting the area, this is one of my two most favorite restaurants to experience.
✴︎Warning
They do double charge you for half and half pizza without any prior information. ( Not mentioned on menu. Waitress never mentioned.) I even asked the manager about it and he said that’s what we’ve been doing.
Well… my family is frequent customer there for so many years (10 years +at least). Never happened before.
Also, my husband showed military ID for hero discount today. (They do it on first Tuesday of the month. I say at least) Again, Manager told us hero discount applies only if you show up IN UNIFORM. Yes. Military personnel or first responders must wear UNIFORM to get the hero discount. The manager CLEALY told me so showing is picture of the “hero discount” sign. (Attaching picture) Showing Official ID is not good enough because not in uniform at the restaurant.
It’s strange we have got hero discount when we go on the discount day.
It’s obvious now that this restaurant is not showing respect for the people who serves the country.
We have to stop supporting this restaurant if you respect the people who serves the USA.
