Order whilst not wrong in terms of the actual food, was not battered when asked for and told it would be. The staff seem to just stand around talking whilst only one person actually cooked. Constantly asked questions about my job and personal views on things which i didnt feel comfortable with and to be honest, the quality of the food wasnt great. It was very saturated in oil and just nobbly bits of potato ends. Very unsatisfied
WOW absolutely amazing never knew a chip shop could be so bad. Burgers old and dry, buns fridge cold and dry. Chips were 100% not fresh, cooked at least twice. Battered sausage was way undercooked and chef Mike (microwave) seriously destroyed the savloys . Fish so undercooked I’m sure if I put it in water it would have swam away.
Proper chips, Sepping's sausages and friendly staff. Always a laugh and great value. Outdoor seating available and across the road from the Carlton Meadow Park & Skatepark.
Food here is top notch, tastes just like a proper chippy should! Only downside, and reading the reviews it seems to be a common occurrence, I found A LOT of fish bones in my cod and ended up binning the rest of my fish because every mouthful contained yet another bone.
Would come back for a Sepping’s Sausage and chips but not the (bone riddled) fish.
First time visiting here after it becoming our closest chippy, and have to say we were impressed. Chips were really lovely, the boys enjoyed their sausages, fish was a little bit greasy but the batter was nice and light and all in all very tasty. Prices were really good too. We will definitely be back.
